Dang! You are not lying.:D

Can you explain a bit about all the action figures. Are they integrated into the gameplay itself somehow?
Yep, essentially every figure is their own character that you can control with their own skill tree and unique skill sets. As you level up your character their progress is stored on the characters chip and therefore you can use that beefed up character on another game or if you have earlier characters you can bring them into the new game.

There is a surprisingly big RPG element. Each character is of a different element and further a different subset of that element.

The games are diablo-esque where loot comes in the form of currency used to skill up your character.

Portions of the game are restricted to certain elements and there are multiple branching paths in each level that are dependent on your character.

You can swap characters in and out at will.

Earlier games had characters with interchangable bodies meaning you could mix and match the top and bottom portion of characters creating a massive plethora of choices.

Others had trap crystals where you could capture the souls of the boss characters and imprison them and use them as side allies when you want a boost attack, their trap would light up and you could hear them talking from inside the trap itself.

New game gives you ability to create your own characters and store them on crystals.

So yeah it's quite an anbundent game wrapped up in a Nintendo esque aesthetic.

Next month Rise & Shine, a nice indie game, will be available on the PS Store. That's my next purchase.

Bought Rise of the Tomb Raider today and got a 10€ coupon (PS Store offer) for next month that I will use for that game.

I'm also really tempted to buy Horizon Zero Dawn now. My first thought was to wait until the first offer for that game, but it might take a while.

I was actually thinking about purchasing Rise of the Tomb Raider today. I have not played it and I have heard it's very similar to the Uncharted series. I have plenty of games to play, But I might pick this one up. I've heard very good things about it. Anyone have any opinions or feedback on this game, would be great.

It's an absolutely awesome game.

From the varied locations, great set pieces and lots of hidden tombs (yes Lara is properly raiding tombs) that are really well designed it's an absolute fantastic game.

It's better in every way to the 2014 Tomb Raider game (which was excellent in its own right).

Whilst it does borrow from Uncharted, you have to remember Uncharted borrowed most of its inspiration from the original tomb raider games.

It's % something PS4 owners who like adventure and action games should play.

First I downloaded the demo weeks ago and it definitely is an awesome game. The graphics and locations are amazing. I love the Uncharted series so I knew this one would be a good purchase.

So far it's great. Like MRU said, if you like adventure games (which I'd say are my favorites) you'll love this.

I bought it while it was the offer of the week for 29€ and it's totally worth the money.

Does someone know how I can buy a digital game from the US PS store? I'm from Europe but I just read that the PS4 is region free, like the Nintendo Switch. Didn't know that.

Has anybody tried it? Maybe I can find Horizon Zero Dawn cheaper on the US store vs the European store.

Won't allow you to use a CC from another country, so you would have to create a separate American Account and then go onto eBay and buy USA PSN card with credit ....

Essentially to save a few € it simply isn't worth it ....

Ok so I've finally played the first hour of Until Dawn and I have mixed feelings.

At first I didn't like it as much as I do now. The controls are a bit off for my liking and the story script could be better. Some scenes are too short and I feel the game tries to go too fast. It should be more like a movie and take its time to move the story forward.

The first sequence was so fast that I couldn't enjoy it.

And the audio in spanish is just terrible at times.

After these first bad impressions I'm now enjoying it more, but they could have done it better.

The game does move very fast at times. Overall, I thought the game was too short. But I enjoyed the in between sequences and the camera angles are fairly unique, which will immerse the player more into the game. Excellent setting and every character has a story to tell.

Yeah, it's different from everything I've played so far in the PS4. Maybe that's why I had a hard time getting into it at first. Now I'm liking it more, but I still think there are some things that could have been done better. But overall a good game.

To me, the best thing about the game is the actual setting, a cold, dark, wintery night. The rest falls into place. Enjoy the game.

I'm not sure which Tomb Raider to buy, Rise of the Tomb Raider "20 Year Edition" or Tomb Raider Definitive Edition (2014)? Which one did you purchase or which one is better? I know the 20 Year Edition has 4K support. @MRU, any opinions on this as well? Thank you.

Definitive Edition is a great game. But Rise essentially takes everything they got right and refined it, makes it bigger and better.

Rise is the better game.

@MRU in case you didn't know with the creation crystals. Once you choose a type of character, you are locked onto that type of character for that crystal.

My son made a Bazooka character on his first crystal and then was sad when he realized he didn't care for the bazooka type play style.

Yeah that sucks. Why on earth did they make such a ridiculous restriction ? It goes against the whole grain of it.

I honestly had to shut it off a couple times as my heart rate was getting a little too high playing alone, in the dark with headphones on.

Yea, I am kind of a wuss.
Same thing just happened to me! I'm alone at home playing it until 5AM and at some parts I had to stop and turn some lights on

Such a cool game.

I also get chills with 'Alien Isolation'.

4 weeks ago the Definitive Edition was at 10€ during one of the PS Store sales. I almost got it because of how cheap it was!

But I ended up not getting it to wait for Rise, and last week I got it during another sale. I thought to myself better save the 10€ and use it for Rise whenever a discount came, but I still regret not buying the Definitive Edition for just 10€, but right now I've got too many games to play so I decided to buy only Rise for now.

I might buy the Definitive Edition later on if it comes down to 10€ again or less. Can't go wrong with that.

Since Rise was made for the new generation I thought I'd rather play that first to enjoy the better graphics.

Yes! When sitting in the dark, with headphones playing that damn game I had to take a couple breathers and shut it down for the night.

Then start the next day with all the windows open and broad daylight

I never played Alien Isolation. I think it's very similar in terms of gameplay to Until Dawn. I also heard that the difficulty is a little higher.
