In terms of all maps there are in the game, that sounds about right. ;) A few of them are optional though (like Hemwick Lane), so you don't technically need them to complete the game. They yield important key items though that will help you survive in the other maps, so I'd recommend doing them all. :)

Made it all the way to the boss (the witch) and then thinks oh this isn't so hard. Kills her and then another appears. Just about kill her and the other is back alive, freezes me and I get pounced on. 30,000 blood echoes gone .... aghhhhhh this game ...

Oh well, progress is progress I guess...

Though I don't think I'll be going near to dark souls 3 anytime soon.

That is excellent progress! :)

Yeah, that is one of the stranger boss fights. I think it's two witches, but in the end you just always hit the one that you see at the moment. Their minions spawn more frequently towards the end. Not much more to it though, you'll beat them for sure!

Serious progress.. even hypogeon gaol which was once a total nightmare has become manageable. Sadly though I had amassed 50,000 echoes. Went back to hunters dream and my ps4 froze ..... aghhh

Thankfully didn't lose all my points after my ps4 restarted. Three attempts later. Bloodbeast Paul or whatever he's called is now dust and gate to old yarnham opened :).

I'm really making progress today on this ....

Holy crap. Vicar Amelia down first time !!!

Found new sections and opened doors / elevators and shortcuts in the forest area.

Awesome, congrats!! Did you find the Tonitrus weapon in the Hypo Gaol? Very valuable!

Witches' building lamp is a good farming spot. The executioners drop lots of echoes and vials, and the hounds often drop twin shards.

Have fun in the forest - that boss fight is a bitch! ;)

I did get that weapon. Should I be powering it up / using it? It's very meek stats wise compared to my other cleaver and axe.

Yeah it have already been farming echoes and levelling there. Those axe baddies are worth near 3000 echoes each.

Yes, power that bad boy up. Quite a few enemies are weak to bolt damage, and bolt papers are not always easy to come by. It's a good choice for the next boss fight, too! ;)

Transformers: Devastation and The Last of Us: Remastered

Don't have a PS4 yet, but I often buy games while on sale if I know I'll be getting the system at some point.

Bloodborne update ... I'm now in Byrgenworth. !!!! I'm actually making decent progress. The forest wasn't too bad, even the boss (or plural) wasn't too bad AFTER I rang the co-op Bell and got some help.

Seriously even completed a chalice challenge dungeon entirely the other day too.

Only took 18 months but I'm actually progressing nicely.

At this rate by 2018 I'll have started Dark Souls 3 lol

The Forest boss fight took me forever. Never tried the co-op before, did it all on my own. But once I figured out how to keep them separated and had my Tonitrus all powered up, it was manageable. What annoyed me more was the long distance from the lamp to the boss fight.

Byrgenwurst is probably the smallest map of the game, it's not too bad, safe for that brainsucker. Boss fight shouldn't be too much trouble either.

Very cool that you're making such good progress. This time I am vicariously playing the game all over again through you! :)

Lol.. Yeah it's taking me forever to farm and skill up my Arcane skill as I neglected it which means I need absolutely shed loads of echoes in order to level up each time now.

I still of course haven't touched the Hunters DLC but it now at least looks like I may actually get to it one of these days, whereas before I didn't think I'd ever see it.

Are you going to get Dark Souls 3 yourself ? :)

Save the DLC for later, it is hard as nails! Don't bother until you're leveled up around the 90's somewhere.

I mainly built up strength, vitality and endurance, all close to 50. Then some skill and arcane to use some other weapons, but nothing over 20...

Did you go to the top floor of Iosefka's clinic yet? Or the upper cathedral ward? Fun times!

I'll get DS3 at some point down the line, but I actually want to play the first one first. :)

Killed the spider boss. Made it to yarghul n'll and got wasted quickly by the hordes of now respawning enemies. Is there a good way of proceeding here I should follow ? Should I bother killing or just use roar and get the fudge out ?

Haven't been to the top of the clinic yet. Should I go there next instead. Last time I went up there I think I found a door or elevator that didn't work.

Will go there next as to avoid frustration with the new locale ...

This game never lets you rest on your laurels.

I will likely get DS3 but will give it till Xmas or early 2017 when they release the inevitable game of the year addition with DLC included. By then I might and stress might actually have gotten through Bloodborne ...

Congrats on killing Ronnie the Vaccuum Cleaner! ;)

Respawning enemies are a bitch. BUT, they only respawn when their witch rings her bell. Kill her, and you're good to go. You'll find the first one in the room at the bottom of that long stairway. Rush past that horde of enemies and kill her, then take them out one by one. No worries though, the next sections will each have their own witches, and they can be hard to find. ;)

You have a few more options if that area gives you trouble. If you received the tonsil stone in the forbidden forest, you can go to the lecture hall which leads you to the optional Nightmare Frontier. Go to the cathedral lamp, exit to the stairs and keep left (opposite to the path to Hemwick Lane). Make your way past the hunters and the executioners, and let the big hand grab you in the center of the big circular room.

If you go to the second floor of Iosefka's clinic (path from the forest through giant swamp cave) you can obtain the Cainhurst Summons, which you can use to travel to optional Cainhurst Castle. Just carry the summons and get picked up by the tombstone in Hemwick Lane, by the shortcut gate with the executioners and the hounds.

The door to the right of the cathedral ward lamp takes you to the old healing workshop. Don't go up there until you have the upper cathedral key though, which you can find in the Unseen Village. (Use a guide, I never would have found it...) Otherwise you'll just end up at a locked gate that leads to the optional Upper Cathedral Ward.

Good luck, I did feel that the game got significantly more difficult where you are right now! :D

I've just received an Xbox One controller to use with my PC (not exactly console gaming, but whatever). It's amazing, such an improvement over the Xbox 360 controller, especially the D-Pad. Can't stop playing with it! :D

Yeah that's where I've been already (healing workshop) and couldn't proceed.

Star Fox Zero (First Edition version).
Will pick it up tomorrow when it's released.

Another XB1 from a great seller here on the Marketplace!

The 1TB model with great games and less than 6 months old. I have one upstairs in my media room but want to put one in the living room as well.

My XB gets about triple the time my PS4 does and I have considered selling it but just can't until I play the new Uncharted.

Finally bought a Wii U this week!! I bought a few eShop cards when eBay had a discount on them recently, so I went a little crazy downloading stuff. lol. Nice to finally upgrade from the PS3. Really like it so far.

Mario Kart 8
Star Fox Zero
Fatal Frame
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Fast Racing Neo

Picked up Yokai Watch yesterday. It's very very good and I really hope Gamefreak are watching. The world and writing is full of charm, and the battles are so fluid. I was trying to finish Earthbound on my 3DS but here comes another game to steal all my time :(

And still throwing an hour or two a day into Star Wars Battlefront on the PS4. Just playing on Walker Assault.

Oh very good! I think out of all the current systems the Wii U is my favourite. There's currently a Humble Bundle if you want to pick up a load of games for cheap https://www.humblebundle.com

Loving the gamepad more than I thought I would. And Off-TV play ... awesome! Didn't think I'd care about that, but it's nice. I got Affordable Space Adventures through the bundle! Nice deal, thanks for the heads up.

I've been thinking about getting Yo-Kai Watch. Not quite sold on it yet, but I keep hearing it's good and funny.
