Ordered today:
Red Dead Redemption
Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary
Halo 3
Bayonetta

There goes my goal of keeping my backlog down.... Currently at 9 games but I'll have to order Halo 2 now, so 10 games.

I played Halo 1 a long time ago on PC so I don't remember much of it. Halo 4 is the only other one I've played and finished.

Finally gave in and ordered TrackMania Turbo (PS4) today, and my order for Uncharted 4 is finally in preparing for shipment! I have a bit backlog of games to play so these two are the last until Black Friday most likely.

XB Deals with Gold this week put a huge dent in my wallet...and backlog.

I have never played some of the XB360 classics so I am happy that a large variety is now backwards compatible.

I picked up:
Gears of War 2
Gears of War 3
Allen Wake
Spelunky
Shovel Knight

All for less than $30 I believe. Pro of having a backlog, you can get amazing deals on fantastic games as I don't ever need the newest and best games out. Con? Its a huge ass backlog lol

I bought a 3DS XL used at Gamestop last November for $100 to try it out. I love the system but was having trouble playing the games in 3D because you have to hold the unit steady - kinda hard when playing games...

The New 3DS XL can be had for $175 so I upgraded and the 3D on that compared to the old is like night and day.

I really like the New 3DS XL and was a great investment (got $60 for my old one at Gamestop).

I picked up Doom (see the doom thread) - the downside of buying just released games is that you're paying through the nose. I was able to save some $$ up to now by holding off on purchasing games until the price is reduced, but its been a while since I bought a game, and I've been aching for a new FPS

Do you have Amazon Prime? If so, all new release games are 20% off. So you end up paying $47.99. Then when I finish the game I sell it back to Amazon as a trade in. Right now they will pay $37.99 for Doom. So in a couple weeks when I complete Doom (assuming I don't keep it for the MP), I can sell it back and the whole deal ended up costing me $10.

Nice to know, I was unaware of that little tidbit, though I bought it at Target.

Pikmin 2 for Gamecube, VG+ CIB...

Got it for $40 (not bad, really and got it at a store so was able to inspect it) - nice addition to my Nintendo Pikmin Collection...

Been getting rid of old games I will never really play again so it'll help with this purchase...

$40 !!! I must have a load of money in GC games. All boxed in mint condition. Must start looking up what I can get for them :)

They should have all the paperwork as well.

I was lucky as Pikmin 2 for GC is kinda rare.

I decided that I will only keep in my collection games I'm willing to sit down and play, so I brought in 8 GC games in today - mostly common but all sought after and got $60 cash for them all.

Do it soon as people are buying GC games as GC compatible Wii's are available (here in the US at least) at Gamestop for $50 and you can of course get GC controllers again. Many of these used stores have old GC memory cards for sale as well. So GC games are still highly sought after.

Yeah I literally have 150+ games all with everything intact .... Even though I'm in EU because I bought a Panasonic Q, my games are all US.

Heck I wonder if my Q is worth anything. I still have its box and all its accessories too !!!

Overwatch PS4

If anyone ever want to catch a match just hit me up on PSN: TheRiggz

Bless

Is it any good ?

Is it out? Tried the open beta at the MS Store.

Now there's this "Battleborn vs Overwatch" war going on. The games seem to be different from eachother.

Overwatch to me seems too "Japanese" to me(characters are anime, which I'm not really into), plus the maps include old-fashioned areas (as opposed to the futuristic Battleborn and Halo).

I'd be willing to wait until it's around $20 to grab a copy - heck, Battleborn and Quantum Break are already on sale for $40 (and they've been out for only how long?)

I paid full price for Battleborn as I got the collectible version from Gamestop and had coupons and trade-ins for it.

Can you choose which maps to play?

It's really good actually, if you liked Team Fortress 2 then this is right up your alley. There is a lot of characters with very different skills and the action feels balanced and fair. This is basically Team Fortress 3 for me which is a very good thing. I've been looking to get my TF2 itch since the console versions was released.

gkarris - I'm pretty sure you can, there is a custom settings tab to pick the match you want and I'm sure the map (I haven't tried it as yet)

Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition arrived the other day. A surprise birthday present from loved ones who knew I was having difficulty finding a copy and was about to buy from a scalper <3

Saw sense and cancelled my Scuf. £142 is too much for a controller...

Brought Doom and Overwatch for PS4 yesterday.

^ Fantasy Life is amazing! I play it with my partner, really good stuff in co-op and single player!

Risk of Rain Vita+PS4. Love it! Really mega addictive stuff. I only got it a few days ago but I've already thrown about 5 hours into it on the Vita and an hour on PS4.
Axiom Verge Vita+PS4. Like it. I don't like the touchscreen controls, they don't seem fitting for a game as fast paced as this. We need more metroidvanias like this.
Twilight Princess HD Wii U. Not gonna lie, it was the Amiibo support in Breath of the Wild that swayed it for me. Only played for a couple of hours so far - forgot how much I loved this game back on the Wii. I'm playing on Hero Mode with the Ganondorf Amiibo to make it harder still... feels like I'm playing a Dark Souls game.
Mario 64 Wii U. Bought it on the eShop sale, still such a classic!

Currently eyeing up Fire Emblem Fates but put off by the confusing purchase system, I don't know how the side quests work if you buy the other DLC stories. Some folk say you only get the main missions from the DLC packs, others say different.

Partners been playing Gone Home on the PS4. Enjoying watching it as it all unfolds :)

Yes I'm really enjoying it! Gameplay is great and I just love the minimal cartoonish graphics. What do you do in co-op mode? My sister will be getting the game soon so just wondering what sort of things we can do together.

Bought and am playing "Arslan : the warriors of legend"

It's fun but there are parts that could be improved. I have always been a fan of the dynasty warriors series and this is just that with a crossover to a japanime.

Something about being that overpowered warrior that can button mash their way through thousands of troops and laugh about it is quite satisfying.

What can be improved? Well, in story mode how about telling me how I did in each scenario. The way the game does it while in story mode, you finish a scenario and it goes directly into a japanime cutscene to further the story. They you can watch or skip and go directly into the next storyline.

I may return it and pick up Warriors Orichi instead.

Picked up my pre-order for Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens yesterday. The Deluxe Edition came with a free Lego (mini) First Order Star Destroyer. The Deluxe Edition includes a Finn Lego mini figure, and (for PS4) some exclusive stuff like a Phantom Limb level pack and a Droid character pack. Looking forward to playing this one with my son.
