I never said how he should or is supposed to spend his money.

His title "Look at what I received yesterday" reeks of "Look at me! Pay attention to me! Love me!". There are a few threads dedicated to showing your Apple Watch (any version.) A new thread wasn't necessary.

Also his first response to me wasn't even a response to what I actually said and was just about him and how his whole family have one too and to tell me to go read his posts in other threads about his whole family owning one, kids and all....again that just shows he is bragging.

Nah. You are just hating.

Very nice watch... this is the very one I was considering and took pics of in the "Show Off Your  Watch" thread.

THIS thread has been... entertaining so far.

*Edit - Actually, the one I was contemplating was the yellow gold, I believe.

I can't lie -- I would totally get one if I could. I was recently gifted a gold plated watch (PVD, if it matters, but to me, plating is plating) and genuinely enjoy wearing it, even with its gold bracelet.

Bragging or not, if he can afford 6,7, whatever Editions he probably doesn't care what we think.

FWIW that Rose Gold/Midnight Blue looks fantastic. The stitching is a nice touch compared to the black/saddle brown bands.

Thanks for the photos showing the box, as I had been curious about it; I can see the charging puck in the box -- that's really cool! I use the box that my SS Space Black watch come in to set the watch down when I'm not charging it -- if I'm in the shower or doing some activity where I don't think the watch would be safe and yet it doesn't need to be charged just then. I keep one half of the box in the bedroom (where the Mophie watch stand and charger are, too) and the other half on my computer workstation in another room.

Looks classy and sharp. Seems better for dress up occasions as that heavy buckle clasp would drive me crazy while my wrists are pressing against a desk while on a computer!

Was it really like $12,000. The sales tax alone buys 3 sport models for me ;)

Great looking watch.
Pay no heed to the jealous haters.
If I received one if these, damn right I would brag about it!
Couldn't agree more. I would like to have the opportunity for people to be jealous and hate on me for posting a $17000 watch. Granted, I probably would buy an IWC instead but it does look good.

I love it. While I don't quite get the value of it, I'm not doing the OP's accounts so who cares! Even if they are showing off a bit they have bought something that they like and are giving us the opportunity to have a little look for free - that is a long way off the definition of asshat in my view.

As I type I'm rocking the gold/midnight blue sport - really like the combination and well into stage three of my Apple acceptance cycle (1. 'That's unnecessary and overpriced.' 2. 'Screw it, I'll buy it anyway.' 3. 'Crap, this actually is useful.') I've done it many times, and I'm sure it will continue with the addition of multiple extremely offensive words.

I actually think the gold sport is a bit of genius marketing. Normally, companies create loss leaders or halo products to drum up interest into the products they actually sell. This time they made a handsome profit off the halo product and then will make a metric butt ton of money selling a 'budget' lookalike.

P.S. Apple recognises 'asshat' as a word!

Wow, that is amazing! Looks just a little better than my rose gold sport. ;)

I love it! I especially like the Digital Crown matching the band. It's really beautiful. Congrats and enjoy!
