Don't forget It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The last season was a little bit off the mark but the first 4 seasons were hilarious.
 
torchwood is a great show but you should really consider Dr who 2005 series first unless you've seen it, because torchwood is a spinoff. David tennant plays a doctor that travels in time. It airs on bbc and bbc america and just aired the last show on new years. Next season is in april with a new actor named matt smith, but as for torchwood, it has yet to be renewed and just showed its last series over the summer called children of earth. both are the best sci-fi shows that England has to offer
 
must-see tv:

entourage (just awesome)
dexter (proves that we really are ef'd in the head lol)
it's always sunny... (same as dexter but ef'd for different reasons lol)
big bang theory (get your nerd on)
how i met your mother (wait for it!)
californication (hank moody is my hero ftw)
the league (same as Sunny lol)
the IT crowd (big bang theory but british)
the guild (felicia day is hawwttt)
30 rock (tina fey & alec baldwin)
sons of anarchy (sopranos on bikes)
leverage (guilty pleasure/like ocean's eleven)

opposite of must-see tv:

lost (who cares)
heroes (after season, does anyone know what's going on anymore?)
the office (after PB&J, writer's ran out of steam)
jersey shore (self-explantory)
american idol (i just never cared)
true blood (wasnt twilight enough)
