RED iPod Nano In High Demand? RED MacBook?

GAP, Converse, and Armani in particular have a lot of products which feature a simple red accent. There could be an edition of the MacBook with a red glowing Apple, or an iMac with it's sides red, or some such varient, rather than having a laptop looking like that Ferrari one.

The iPod is obvious to go all red, and a red-metal Mac mini could follow, but I'd be surprised to see them take a whole laptop or iMac that color, but perhaps some of it.

Agreed. I have a friend who painted his iBook red, and sure it looks cool, but I think a red MacBook would date very very quickly. However, a red accented MacBook (in the same vein as the U2 iPod) would be really cool, almost special edition style.

Granted that the shuffle is dramatically different, but I don't think the nano is. It is a new case with relatively the same dimensions. Not saying they don't have a good product offering it's just that I feel there isn't a dramatic change as there was last year. Granted with a larger capacity. Hell, I went out a bought the top of the line 4g in September with my educational rebate from buying a new computer. Only to sell it and buy the top of the line 5g and while waiting for that to ship I bought the 4Gb nano. I'm only saying that this year I'm not inspired like I was last year and personally can't see how it would be possible to sell more then the previous year when I find the bulk of the offering to be pretty much the same damn thing.

The ONLY reason why it's doing so well is Oprah's robots who will buy ANYTHING she endorses.

It's a known fact. My friend's wife wrote a book for women and she is trying to get Oprah to endorse it as she says that any author that gets their book on Oprah becomes and instant top seller....

Red plastic macbook - NO NO NO

Red anozided aluminium - YES YES !

And it's not just cos of my name 🙂

If they do bring out a red Macbook and somehow make the red plastic look good (clear plastic shell with metallic red paint on the inside? Red LCDs? ) then they could drop in the C2D processor too.

That'd be one big seller.

I would of liked one, but I couldn't hold out. Ordered and should be arriving tomorrow.

It's good to have an iPod that actually does a little good in the world and means more than just being a music player, at least that's how I see it.

As for more RED products, I'm not sure about a RED case for the MB, I'm sure if Apple did it, it wouldn't look as bad as that other laptop floating around in this thread, nut I'd prefer a normal colored laptop or desktop, and the RED iPod to show my support for a cause.

How about an anodized aluminum "MacBook nano", with 10.6" widescreen display, optical drive, 1" thickness, 4 lbs. I'd buy it....
 
with the success of the red mini... imean nano, there is sure to be more colored products like the imac red

Anyone else think that this could be the start of a new, iMac G3 style range of Macs, i.e. bright and coloured as opposed to white and black?

RED would act as the catalyst but you culd have all sorts of colours...

Then again- that could end up being hoplessly tacky. But i'd definately buy a RED Mac Mini 😀

I'm sure that Apple had been making themselves a minimalist white/sliver image ever since the colourful generation. Meh.
 
imac g3 colors would look cool. see thru aqua like plastic. it will a be macbook in a bubble. 😀 oooohhh and one with this ninja gaiden blue that apple seems to be moving towards would be cool. anyone else think that this choice of new blue for the interface is a strange pick?? i only play ninija gaiden black on my xbox so this blue is in my mind related to xbox. strange. but seriously though a red mini would be killer. and it's in the market that apple is pushing the red mid to low level consumers. let the redaning begain 😀 😎 😱
