I see what you mean. In the case of OP, he is wearing a S3, Which is Tizen, Which Applies to what I mentioned being laggy previously.

You’ve obviously never owned an S3 running the latest Tizen OS which is very smooth. Tizen is way faster and smoother than Wear which does lag.

I can make it look as elegant as I want when I dress up or really sporty when I’m dressed down or working out. Good thing I get options to make it as simple looking as the Apple Watch. I get tons of compliments and people thinking it’s a mechanical watch.

That watch is way to big on your wrist.
Wouldn’t be able to wear That with a suit.

The Samsung watches are massive which is a shame because they have some interesting features. They have just announced a smaller, 42mm option but it still looks a bit chunky.

Massive is an understatement. The new ones do look chunky.

As I understand the new watch doesn’t have mst anymore. Seems like Samsung is dropping that feature.

Can’t wait to see what Apple does with the Apple Watch s4.

Why would I have to ‘own’ the S3 to comment on it? One doesn’t have own something to not have experience with it. Aesthetically, its nice, [given its comically large]. But that does not change my firsthand experience with the S3, its laggy and stutters.

I love big watches. Especially divers so this is the perfect size I wanted. I have no problem wearing it with a suit.

If you’re stating it’s laggy and stutters, you have no idea what you’re talking about. Tizen has never lagged or stuttered. It’s actually faster and smoother than WatchOS.

I do to, have a bunch of diving watches.
But wouldn’t be able to wear any of them with a suit. But they still aren’t as big as that Samsung

It a way too big for your wrist though.
The dial literally fits over your entire wrist.

Even with a watch as big as the hublot Big Bang, shouldn’t cover your entire wrist.

If you’re stating it’s laggy and stutters, you have no idea what you’re talking about. Tizen has never lagged or stuttered.

In your original statement, you said you know “I never owned an S3 running the latest Tizen”, which inherently isn’t true, because I don’t have to own a watch to have experience with it. So I just want to rehash that point being you seem to skip over that point.

However, Your response is an ‘opinion’, it’s nothing direct of everybody else’s experience. You can’t take away someone’s opinion based off what they experienced first hand. That’s not how discussion works. But since your defensive about this, it’s not that I think Tizen is ‘bad’, nor do I think watchOS is perfect either, I simply think Tizen stutters with animation and fluidity.

It’s actually faster and smoother than WatchOS.

For the record, I’m not seeking to make this a ‘Tizen vs watchOS debate’ , so I’m not sure why you need to insert watchOS as leverage into this when I wasn’t comparing WatchOS in the first place. I interjected my experience based on that I said Tizen was lagging and stuttering based off the usage when I did use it. And I stand by that, and your response doesn’t change my opinion, its just you disagree.

I would imagine Samsung Pay has made that obsolete.

It’s still on my S3 and Note 8 and it’s still on the S9’s. The S9’s did have some problems with Samsung Pay after launch but that was resolved with and update.

Yes but Samsung removed MST from the new gear watch might be removed on the s10 going forward.

IMHO round faces look so much better. Rectangular smartwatches just remind me of ugly mechanical watches, and calculator watches from the 80's. Not having a round face is the only reason why I haven't bought an Apple Watch.

I might give in anyway and pick up AW4 just because I don't like jogging with my iPhone. But I while I might appreciate the functionality, I will never like the looks until/unless Apple goes round.

Its Apple though. Conformity is not their typical method. I don’t care for a round Apple Watch, but I am open to diversity for the consumer. I think the current design works really well and is versatile enough where its ‘Different.’ Will Apple offer a round watch, maybe. But it doesn’t appear Thats a consideration at this point and Johnny Ive also commented to something similar when dispay information, a circle doesn’t make sense.

I'm sure it works great and that square is more useful than a round display on a smartwatch. Nevertheless, I'd prefer a round display option even with the compromises it would bring.

I think Ive's statement is ironic, considering Apple is absolutely infamous for choosing form over function. I.E. ultimate thinness, but sacrificing battery size, keyboard reliability, port connectivity, repairability, upgradability, and even outright performance (door to inadequate cooling).

You've got that wrong. Android smartwatches run Android Wear OS, Samsung smartwatches run Tizen.

Actually you’re not fully correct yourself. Not ALL Samsung smart watches run Tizen, or Android. The current specific “Gear” brand does. Thy also make Fit brand which runs a RTOS.

But for the purpose of this thread yeah, current models of the main lineup are Tizen.
