Wish it said MacBook Pro…Wish it said 13", 15" or 17".

Skylake is a battery life improvement-not much faster than Broadwell. The current MacBook speeds have been compared to a 2011 MacBook Air. Anyone know what Skylake for MacBook could be compared to in terms of older MacBooks?
Unlikely that they'll add ports IMHO. It's not apparent where they'd have room for them without changing the size, and it seems counter to Apple's aim for that device.Wonder if they will wise up and add more ports or just upgrade internals.
BestBuy is already having a sale of $300 off on both 12in models. The gold one is the only one in stock for the base model. Looks like they are clearing inventory. I should return the one I purchased 2 weeks ago and wait for the refresh.
You can't get next-day shipping on Apple's website for the 12" MacBook either, while every other Mac you can.
Cool good news.
I wish Apple would simplify there line up.
Rebrand the Current Macbook as Macbook Air and kill the current Macbook Airs, release a 14" macbook with less bezel so it remains the roughly the size of the 13" Pro. Same thing for the Macbook Pro. Make it only a 16" model in the footprint of the 15" of today.
Macbook Air 12" (Fanless, entry level)
Macbook 14" (Thinner but not as thin as current macbook with roughly the same footprint as the current 13" Pro)
Macbook Pro 16" (Same footprint but a little thinner then the current 15" Pro. Two models. One with high end intergrated graphcis and another with dedicated.)
I would buy that 14" in a heartbeat.
I fear Apple is going back to the 90's era with to many product lines and devices. It should really be simplified.

I would prefer 12-inch MacBook, 14-inch MacBook Pro, and 16-inch MacBook Pro.Wish it said 13", 15" or 17".
Not time for a new MP yet. Still a while to go before it can be mocked on stage for being five years and still in use.Just did. It tops out at Late 2013.
The problem with your proposal is a MacBook costs a lot of money. A lot, especially compared with an MBA. Not having something like the MBA (reasonable connectivity, performance and price while still very light) would destroy apple's education market.Cool good news.

Same in the UK. They've slipped to about 5 working days.
Yes, you should. Don't they usually give you 14 days?BestBuy is already having a sale of $300 off on both 12in models. The gold one is the only one in stock for the base model. Looks like they are clearing inventory. I should return the one I purchased 2 weeks ago and wait for the refresh.
Wouldn't be surprised if it was 12", 14", 16" (Reducing bezel to accommodate a larger screen.).
