I got the S2 earlier this week. The only problem I've encountered is I now find my S0 to be utterly unusable by comparison. I had been planning to keep it as a travel backup, but the performance difference is so enormous that I quickly lost patience with the older unit.

First world problems to be sure.

I have a series 0 and just purchased a series 2 (waiting for it to ship). Is the performance that much better? I am hoping it is. I don't think the series 0 is bad at all but if it's that different, I'll be even happier.

Thanks!

i was gifted the series 2, have had the series 0 (both 38mm ss) and the difference is day and night to me. I could not go back to series 0, far too slow and the brighter screen is great. having said all that, I wouldn't have bought it for myself (ignorance is bliss) but now that i see the difference, theres no going back.

If you are active then I'd say get one.. I generally use mine about 80% for activity tracking and 20% for the smart watch functions..

I see Garmin just announced the Fenix 5.. 47mm Sapphire = $700! Looking at that price, the Apple Watch is a bargain!

My .02
I am using it primarily for activity tracking. It's been great. I'm right on track with your percentages. I like the messages coming in and being able to reply quickly without even touching the phone. Same with phone calls. Reminders.. I mean, this is just a really good companion for me. I was really hesitant to get it, but I decided to give it a try and I am very happy I did.

I will tell you where I'm using the series 0... sleep monitoring. It's fine for that.

Which app are you using? Just got my watch yesterday and downloaded Pillow but for some reason my alarm didn't go off and the data didn't sync from the watch.

Not a good start.

I was basically gifted the series 2 (gift cards) for most of the cost so I ordered it. Excited for it to come in. I plan on selling my series 0 if I can find someone to buy. Thanks for the feedback!

I ordered a Series 2 42mm SS refurb two weeks ago and it arrived in three days. It appeared to be brand-new. I saw no signs of prior use whatsoever. I read somewhere that these refurbs are typically brand-new from the factory but failed final checkout and had to be re-flashed with software or something. In any case, the discount over brand-new was the push I needed to finally upgrade from my Series 0. And I'm happy I did. For me, the CPU speed increase is enough to make using the watch more enjoyable. I'm definitely finding the improved responsiveness on Siri commands and UI actions to be worth the upgrade. It's an incremental improvement but it's enough of one to improve the experience measurably. I also enjoy the brighter screen and MUCH improved battery life (I usually end a full day with 70% charge which is outstanding).

Went new Series 1 for the price of a refurbished model. Target continues to come through with fantastic sales except I buy them from BB to price match and get the rewards.

Smart move. Best Buy will price match anything and they will want your business. And if your an elite member, you obviously get the points as you did.

I'm still trying to get a good deal on a series 2, but can't even find them of Apple's refurbished site.

If it wasn't for the swimming tracker, I would be fine keeping my Microsoft Band 2. :(

I think iStocknow.com will let you set up notifications for refurbished devices.. Might try that and you'd get an email when some are posted for sale..

It shows you the store log, when a model becomes available (IN) or is gone (OUT), when it happened, and for how long it stayed so.

That's currently not showing refurb / online (could be added).

I recently sold my series 0 and picked up a SS series 2 .... performance is much better, screen is brighter and you will notice that the side buttons do click louder (prob cause it is water resistant to 50m)

Can confirm the notifications work well with S2 Refurb, there's been a few models available today and we triggered alerts on them.
