have you talked to your dad about the fact he expects you to get laid or what ever? That must have enormous pressure put on you. If i get nervous, i usually do the deep breaths and slowly exhale. I also take alazaphram when needed but i haven't had to in months.

But i have to commend you on the comment

Kick back, relax, get comfy, put on some chilled music, watch your favourite TV shows with your favourite foods, play some video games, read MR.. i love just chilling 😀

Also, dont be nervous with the girl. Some girls love cute shyness, but most prefer confidence. I noticed after being more confident with the girl im seeing shes taken a much bigger liking to me!

I completely ignored his comments about it and was thinking he was joking but he really wasn't. I ignored it externally, but internally it's made me feel bad.
 
Well, prom was tonight, and I had a lot of fun!

I was panicking at first and was nervous for the first hour or so, but than I got over it. We went out the eat, we took pictures, and we danced a lot.

When I dropped her off though, I kind of wanted to kiss her but I thought it would be awkward to just randomly kiss her, any advice for next time?

Hold her hand and stare into her eyes.

^ (I kid. I do not advise the staring bit. Although holding her hand may not be a bad start. I cannot say anything though, I'm still trying to quit smoking.)

Just because you might not like the outcome, doesn't mean the same thing for others. Most people enjoy being in relationships.
 
Of course it's obvious that so many people can't see the world beyond their menial lives, you're not telling me anything new.

If you already know what I'm saying to you, then why can't you open your mind and understand it? I'm not saying you have to agree with it, or live by it yourself, just understand that that's the way some people work and leave them to it.

This line shows a lot of confidence, which she'll find attractive. She's almost guaranteed to say yes.

Added benefit is that it takes the guesswork out of 'just going for it' and risking invading personal space etc.
 
Again, I know that average people aren't the least bit rational, and I don't have a problem with them being so blind.

Does anybody ever stop to consider what they really want in life? No, they take everything for granted. Their friends at school are "dating" (none of them actually go out to date) so they just play along, following their friends off the cliffs.

That's the only thing I have a problem with; lemmings.

Just because you don't understand or like dating doesn't mean that other folk are stupid lemmings.

This lack of empathy and warmth on your part speaks volumes.

Do you really need to interject to the effect of 'I don't date and I think it's stupid' every third or fourth posting in this thread? We get the message. And I don't think you're really answering the OP's question.
 
I agree wholeheartedly with the other posters - confidence is the key. You have to act as if you know what you're doing, even if you really don't. Congratulations on the successful night mate 🙂

I'm glad you had a good time TSE. Keep the positive thinking going and don't let your anxiety prevent you from trying things and being involved.

As far as the kissing thing goes, just be polite, confident, and sweet about it. Asking is not a bad idea. Pretty soon you'll be able to say:
