timing is off means wrong. Everyone can predict that there will be new MacBook Pros. If the timing is wrong what’s the value?
There's a difference between "a new MBP will come" vs. actual schematics and descriptions of it. He was even right about the iMac colors. Yes his record isn't the best compared to Gurman and Ming and L0ve, but you can't say he's always wrong.

expected this, John Prosser may be good,
but l0vetodream is better ;) That may come down to the fact that l0vetodream doesn’t have a YouTube channel they’re trying to support so they don’t have to just “say stuff” to get subscribers. I mean, if they wanted, l0vetodream could go silent for months and only say things when they’re sure and that would make them more accurate.

:( well at least this prepares me to ease my disappointment. Understandable I think considering the past year and the state of component availability and demand.

DANG IT!!!! :( :( :( :(

Would the store go down before WWDC if they are announcing? They may put them up for sale later but today we get the sale dates and pricing!

It's actually still quite good, but everyone ignores all the times when he's right. Oh, well.
Not everyone. AppleTrack tracks it. And, well, being “slightly better than MacRumors” is not something to crow about. :) I could parrot MacRumors, be lucky 2 or three times, and I’d be at the same level!

My Sources would just be “MacRumors”… no, wait, I can’t reveal my sources is what I meant to say.

Well, the Apple Store isn’t shut down. If it is still up in 1-2 hours, I doubt we will see any hardware news at WWDC

the apple store would only shut down when they are making orders available for a new product, not when they announce them.

Im not saying this proves there is hardware, just that I would not have expected the store to close.

New MacBook Pros can still ne announced. Just because the Apple Store isn't down doesn't mean anything other than "no new models to sell right now."

After all, they did announce the migration to Apple Silicon at last year's WWDC even though they had no actual models shipping at that time. Nothing to stop Apple from talking about new Mac models if they think it is worth the time to do so.

And no, I am not a leaker / prognosticator / pundit, nor do I play one on TV.

I get it, I mean, it's a developer conference, it's not supposed to be *for* hardware announcements...

... but until we see one the use of Apple Silicon in high-end Macs is starting to look... a bit vaporous.

Personally not surprised. The iMac was launched just a few weeks ago, there are ample collection of M1 Macs sufficient for devs to pick and choose to do development work on. The people looking for M2 hardware are The Verge, because they need something to write about, MBKHD because he needs something to unbox and iJustine because she needs something to say OMG! about.

Devs used a developer kit with A12z for Steve Jobs sake to port their apps to Apple silicon. The M1 is more than enough. When the M2 is ready this fall, you will get it. Give the M1 a year to simmer for crying out loud!
