Can confirm: was able to order an iPad through the app. It was suffering a bit from some availability quirks and not always letting me add to cart (or would say it replaced items in cart due to availability) but in the end it worked.
May 27 is then earliest stated arrival date for my confit in Canada. (12.5/256/5G/Silver.)

If using the Apple Store app, keep tapping “Add to bag” until you no longer get the error pop-up.

Apple store app worked but took 5-6 minutes for me to show the item in stock. I ordered a Apple TV and the 64gb was in stock before the 32gb.
I switched to Data from Wifi on my phone, restarted the app, saw 32gb model pop up and was able to order it for launch day right away.

Appearently you can't put an iPad and an AppleTV in your shopping card at the same time. WTF

Had similar issues here…had both the iPad Pro and the new Magic Keyboard in my cart and it only let me buy the keyboard, oddly available for pickup today, but wouldn’t let me get the iPad—or at least not with the keyboard. Finally bought the keyboard and went back to purchase the iPad separately and got it with a June 2-9 delivery date.
Kind of a messed up and misleading purchase experience as I was as prepared as I could have been. Happy I got the iPad in the end though. Best of luck to the rest of y’all who are still in que.

Took a few minutes to let me add the configuration I wanted to my cart, kept saying it was removed due to availability. Finally got the yellow iMac with delivery between May 25 - June 2 in Canada -- had to use the website for the educational discount
Ordered the base iMac on my debit. But wanted to see how much the mid-grade would be after taxes and a trade-in and decided to apply for the AppleCard just to see if I would be approved and I did!
But now I have two iMac preorders and I'm trying to cancel my first order but I don't see that option 🥲

You'll be able to cancel it once the order status moves to "processing" - it took me about 10 minutes before I could cancel my accidental second order haha
There's actually a cancel button now! It appears once your order is in the processing stage.
