Just picked up Reminders Nano as well. So far it's awesome and definitely the "missing Apple app". Only have 2 gripes with it:

1) as other said, can't sort lists, and
2) the text is jumbled up is you have large reminder name. So if the reminder item is only one word like "milk" it's fine. But if the item is "pick up a jug of milk from the grocery store" the text is going to be off the screen. Not sure a bug or Watch OS system limitation.

Yeah it needs to truncate after two rows - three rows of text doesn't fit.

Otherwise it's great.

I emailed the dev about my concerns, and this was his response:
The next update, which will be available soon, will fix the text issue and display the due date of reminders.
Sorting lists currently isn't supported but is planned for future versions.

I'm loving Reminders Nano. It doesn't make any sense why Apple would leave this app out. It's perfect for shopping off a list in the grocery store.

I have a feeling that Apple will release make their own Reminders app watch compatible and this one won't be necessary in the future.

For now I am using OneList since I need the Glance feature, which Reminders Nano don't have.

Agreed - pushing a cart around the store and tapping off items on my wrist is a better experience than pulling out my iPhone every 2 minutes and shoving it back in my pocket.

Hello everyone; my app 1List (no, not the same as “OneList”) now offers an Apple Watch app, to display the Apple Reminders on the Watch.

Very straightforward, with one bonus feature: when you want to add a new reminder, you get suggestions based on your reminders history. I really love that feature, and I hope you’ll find it useful too.

Nope-no sync with Reminders

Syncing with Reminders is the whole point. The first sync does take a while depending on the size of your Calendar/Reminders database, it definitely syncs.

By not syncing I mean create a new task in Up Next and look in iCloud.com/Reminders or the Reminders app in Mac OS or iOS. You will see that the new task sync's to Reminders with the alarm time set in Up Next showing as a new "Due Date" date/time equaling that alarm time and a blank "Remind me on a day" field.

Does it remember the list order?

Reminders Nano is the ONE!

I agree. Reminders Nano is the best reminder app I've seen for the Apple Watch.
Best feature - all of my reminders from Apple's reminder list show up on my watch! I just tell Siri and "boom" there it is on Reminders Nano too!

Just grabbed Reminders Nano (I tried Up Next and found it really buggy and didn't stay in sync well).

BUT: I have a problem: Reminders Nano did not "install" an Apple Watch App. What I mean is that I don't see anything on my Watch... nor is there a "Reminders Nano" entry in the Apple Watch App on my phone.

Am I missing something?

I tried removing it and re-installing it. This hasn't happened for any other Apple Watch Apps...

I'd restart your Watch. No problems with this app here, same as any other.

Damn. I've tried rebooting everything. Even uninstalled the App then did the new Apple Watch software upgrade and reinstalled it... still won't show in the Apple Watch App on my Phone.

I'll give it a few days and see what happens... lol

Mine did the same thing after updating. It's on the app list, it says show on watch-but it's gone. Damn.

I wrote an app that will let you view your reminders on the watch. It does a ton more, including analyzing your calendar and reminders with due dates to help you focus on the most important upcoming tasks, but in context of the watch, I think will come in handy. Check it out.

When I click this link a new safari page opens but it's blank with no address in the address bar. Would you please provide the app name so I can search the App Store for it?

The name of the App is Up Next - What To Do When

I've been using this app for sometime now for my iPhone and its very useful to me. Just have to now wait for Apple to ship my Watch and will definitely check it's usefulness on that.

Hi all. I was thinking about how I make extensive use of the Reminders app on iOS. I use it as a list and a to-do app. It's also the app Siri uses if you ask to create a reminder. It's useful for repeating and geolocated reminders, like, "Remind me every Wednesday when I arrive home to take out the trash," or if you ask Siri, "Remind me when I get to work tomorrow to do X", it will be created with the appropriate timeframe and geofence.

I do this all the time and I assumed it would be a natural extension to Apple Watch. However I was looking at the Guided Tours page, and then the Apps page, and then desperately googling for it, but I can't find a mention of the actual Reminders app getting any support for Apple Watch. Does anyone know more about this? Surely there's some way to push the iOS system-default Reminders to Apple Watch?

Thanks.
[doublepost=1454715445][/doublepost]I'm using AddReminder. It is a very simple app that allows to type reminders on the Apple Watch. http://www.swinova.com/addreminder/

Almost a year later, Apple still has not added their own Reminders app. Perhaps reminder app vendors are paying them not to add the app? 'Apple, don't put me out of business with your free app, I'll send you a % of my profits as long as you don't add it Thx."

While I would like a dedicated Reminders app on the Watch, I am able - via Siri - to add Reminders and I do get Reminders on the Watch. So its most of the way there.

developer here, I would like to make an app that has all the missing features you guys are talking about. Do you guys have any input as to what you would specifically want? btw it will be free for macrumors members

For me, the ability to have a scrollable/checkable list display on my watch screen. Not sure if it could be always on, but that would be nice to have in a grocery store check boxes big enough to target easily and accurately.
