I just wish they would sync reliably and quickly. When they do sync, it takes 10 to 15 seconds. I complete on device, it still shows. I complete a 2nd time and it completes for tomorrow. Syncs between god and MAC are inconsistent and nothing syncs to Watch. I am looking for another reminder app as this one is unusable.

And Calendar.
I agree, or the other way around. I like how you can show Reminders tasks in Fantastical , and I wish the native Calendar application had that option. Omnifocus also integrates with your calendar to view tasks and appointments in a single view.

Perhaps you can comment on what this upgrade broke and how to fix it? For example, the iOS Reminders service on IFTTT is broken. You can no longer use reminder creation or completion as triggers and you can no longer (in a completely automated fashion) create reminders (reminders aren't created until you launch the IFTTT app).

Plus, there's still the issue of not having a truly recurring location based reminder. You either have to leave them incomplete so they fire again and you can't keep track of their completion, or you have to complete and "un-complete" them.

Also, the display of due tasks annoyingly differs between location and time-based reminders.

Not to mention that the update introduced a bug where scrolling gets mis-interpreted frequently as a title edit attempt now. 10% of the time, I'm just trying to scroll and the keyboard comes up.

And Siri is much more finicky about reminder wording. I try to create reminders using Siri and I either get told reminders doesn't support that (even though it created the reminder) or it shows me a reminder containing only the first half of the title or words completely dropped out of the middle of the reminder.

Obviously, I use the reminders app all the time and this "upgrade" is annoying as hell. They shouldn't have released it with all these bugs. I preferred the more smoothly running and less buggy iOS 12 version.

Replying to myself on importing tasks. I found an Applescript that loops through each line and creates a new reminded in a top level list. I haven't figured out how to craft a path that will create it in lists that are in a group / folder. So I have to drag them into the correct folder from my Inbox.

I posted the script on my blog. I don't know if I'm allowed to post that here, so message me if you want the link.

this saved me. thank you! :)

I have basic needs for reminders. I want it to respond quickly and sync reliability which the old reminders did. I haver had nothing but problems with the new one. Items can take minutes to sync to another device and if I make the mistake and open it, the item can change to not completed. If I close the app too quickly, the item never goes to completed. When I complete an item it does not always close out, but remain and shows completed. If I click it again, the next item (its usually a recurring item) gets completed. I've worked with reminders for several months but I have given up and switched to Microsofts "To Do".

What does the badge number on Reminders show nowadays? It doesn’t match up with the items I have in my “today” view. For example my today and scheduled views both have 2 items in it and my badge shows 1. I have to daily check the app to make sure I’m not missing anything.

I had the same problem. Sometimes it would be correct but not other times. Frequently it would take 5-10 minutes to update. I really don't understand why this app is having such problems.

I am starting to miss the "repeat after last completion" feature of Omnifocus. That's good for things like haircuts, oil changes, changing baking soda in the fridge etc. This is where you don't want to do a task early just because you were late doing it last time.

It's sad that Apple didn't add that feature. I might split my tasks up between the two apps, or go back to Omnifocus until Apple adds it.

Does anyone know why I get different 'snooze' options on different reminders? (Which have been set up identically, as far as I can tell)

Frequently missing options are:
Remind me next weekend.
Remind me in the morning.
Remind me in the afternoon (when the original notification is before the afternoon).

Always present:
Remind me in a hour
Remind me in tonight
Remind me in tomorrow
