I don't have another camera as the 7+ is my main camera but it looks just like yours and some dust particles on the top gap.Would you mind including a picture?

Yep I've got the gap on mineI've noticed today on my iPhone 7 that there is a small gap between the screen assembly and the metal back at the top of the phone.
It's wide enough that dust collects in there and that I can slide a sheet of paper a few millimetres in there. However, the sides and bottom of the phone don't have this gap, and I can't get a sheet of paper in between.
I spoke to a friend who also bought a 7 on the same day and he says his one is the same. Is this normal? Do any of you readers have it as well? Most importantly, will it affect the water resistance?

Horribly looking gap is part of the design? Since when water resistance is achieved by leaving gaps?THe consensus seems to be it's part of the design according to other forum members.
Interesting. Could you let me know if your replacement phone has the same issue?
[doublepost=1475186791][/doublepost]So it looks like a fair amount have this issue and a fair amount don't. Not sure what to do at this point. I'll try and compare in store if I get near one.
But it seems a fair few people have this...

Don't listen to nonsense. There can't be any gaps. It has to be tight and flush.
It's even worse then, because its widespread.
Get real dude.Did Apple confirm this wasn't part of the design? Has this 'defect' as you say been confirmed a flaw? What about the iPhones that have been subjected to water with this gap? All the Plus variants I have seen, have this. There have been zero reports on this being a defect. Where is your evidence saying otherwise?

The gap has been reported on the Plus model and I contacted Apple Care, they stated it's not been reported as an issue if the iPhone has not been subjected to water damage. What's considered widespread? Do you have numbers/citations to prove this or are you going by anecdotal threads?
Get real dude.
the 3 i tested. And those are display phones. So they all had the issue?
I only did it to one 7+ and it did.So I guess it affects all 7's but not necessarily all 7+'es? Is that what you saw in store?
mine has same thing and i got dust inside screenI've noticed today on my iPhone 7 that there is a small gap between the screen assembly and the metal back at the top of the phone.

lol no dude. You are crazy OCD. That dust didn't come from the gap. The phones still sealed.mine has same thing and i got dust inside screen![]()
Then how did the dust get under the screenlol no dude. You are crazy OCD. That dust didn't come from the gap. The phones still sealed.
Every iPhone in the apple store had the gap and there's no dust. Not on my phone either.
My advice Alex stop looking for flaws. Use the phone normally and if you happen to notice a flaw then you can post about it.
When they built the phoneThen how did the dust get under the screen
