Question: In the US, by law, homes have to use 120v outlets. Is that tyranny?
Why not? It’s not like it’s an expensive to implement feature, they basically moved the notch down slightly and called it an Island. Outside that it’s just software.
The iPhone on the left looks better to me. Why does the pill have to come further down into the screen to give me a useless strip of screen at the top, when it could go all the way to the top and give me more screen space?
Don’t need a provider that supports eSIM when traveling.

Slimmer bezels are good. Hopefully it will be released in the new rumoured pink and blue colours.
At this rate they will reach actual edge to edge screen by iPhone 20.
I would rather see them bring back the (underrated) 30-pin connector than switch to this USB-C nonsense!
In fact, they moved the screen up a little on the 14 Pro to offset the slightly greater height of the DI+offset so that the safe content area of the screen was unchanged.
For a cheaper SKU? You know, for those who won't pay premium pricing.

Too confusing? They only have 4x Model types. The rest are different SKU configurations. How much simpler would you like 🤣🤣🤣
I disagree. The iPhone SKUs are fine and easy to understand. The iPad SKUs are were the problem is at.
We and apparently Apple thought the 12 mini would sell well too. Something went wrong there. With that being said, since the Plus is just as “popular” as the mini, why not embrace the purely niche flavor of both models and alternate between the two sizes, limiting production based on demand? Sell a mini model for two years, followed by a Plus model for two years, then a new mini model for two years.
15 Plus, 16 mini, 18 Plus, 20 mini…(replace your niche iPhone every four years and if necessary replace the battery in between). The costs for Apple would be reduced and this might push some users to the Pro models if waiting four years for the next Gen Plus or mini is too long so Apple wins there as well. Apple could also forget about the Plus model and update the mini every two years similar to the SE.
Consumer perception. Lay consumer perception is smaller has to be cheaper, so Apple had a hard time selling the 12 and 13 minis. All people here wanting a mini iPhone (including myself) are not enough for Tim Cook’s quarterly report.
Meanwhile, the Plus, due to its price point, can become a decoy product to nudge people into spending more buying the Pro.
Tim Cook likes more money.

Apple may be releasing THREE 6.7” iphones later this year which is just ridiculous and a waste of sizing options. The 14 Plus is £950 (very much premium pricing) in the UK and sold less than the 13 mini it replaced!
Like four models are confusing? who gets confused by 4 models and how did such an individual earn enough money to buy iphone?
