Just anecdotally, I seldom find myself talking to a group of people at a gathering these days without quite a few people wearing Apple Watches of one kind or another.
I'm one of the apparently rare people who has the SE, mainly because it was my first Apple Watch and I didn't know whether I'd like having it or not and wanted to spend a more modest amount of money to find out. I'm a lifelong wristwatch wearer and I'm not quite sure I like converting over to a watch that runs on the same daily charge cycle (and few-year upgrade cycle) as my iPhone.
My previous watch is a 10 year-old Citizen Eco-Drive that keeps excellent time, is absurdly durable and charges itself from ambient light. Of course, it gives me zero information aside from the time and date, and I'm starting to really acclimate myself to having the high-quality, current data on movement, sleep and other health metrics my Apple Watch collects. That said, if Apple came out with a ring similar to the Oura, I'd be quite tempted to use that as my input sensor and go back to an analog wristwatch.
