Considering LLM’s are making humans so dumb they fail the Turing test, I have nothing but hope.

Yeah, it would be a lot more embarrassing if I didn’t also just read three articles about how Amazon is holding back some Alexa+ features later than expected, Microsoft is cutting back on some AI projects and Meta just delayed their new LLM.
Apple have definitely gone off track, but let’s not pretend like “coming later this year” hasn’t just become an industry wide thing for pretty much everyone’s pie in the sky AI promises.

Apple is seriously detached from reality. There’s basically zero public trust that they can actually do AI right.
I firmly believe many Siri failures are due poorly framed queries and sloppy diction and enunciation. Case in point here, when a more precise phrasing would have been, "Where is my iPhone?"
I have a plan for world peace and it will be available over the next couple of years.

So, just to recap, off device Siri was crap but necessary, on device Siri is better/faster but now it’s moving back to off device because bad is the new good, gotcha!👍
