Considering we have absolutely no idea what he actually means, that has yet to be determined.

Any time Apple talks about their special advantages, it's always because they're a "full stack" comany that owns the entire widget. It has literally never meant anything else in my memory.

I always love Gurman’s liberal use of the word may. Apple may do this. Apple may do that. Apple may or may not do a lot of things. It’s a great way to make predictions without being at fault when he’s inevitably wrong. Then he changes what he said to deflect.
Gurman uses may a lot … because it’s a MAY 7th event ;)

Kuo predictions always as dodgy too.
At this stage almost anyone could make most of the predictions and be as accurate…

It's an obvious "Analyst" tactic. Kuo does the same but tends to say it "will" one day and "won't" the next.

No risk, but much "look I was right, go me" when whatever they said whenever, was true.

Hilarious, and people hang on their every word.

It will be a couple of more years before we get OLED unfortunately. However, that faster A17 or A18 chip will bring console gaming to the mini like the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max currently have. Not that everyone is interested in doing that, but for those who do, you’ll probably have that option.
No need for OLED on any iPad. Apple used to know LCD and supplied some of the better examples in the market. iPad Mini 6 has a low-quality display and controller - Apple knows it, they had to comment on Jelly Scroll after launch and now rumors suggest they are going to make efforts to correct this for iPad Mini 7.

Would love a surprise appletv refresh. I don't need one now now, but I'd like one soon-ish. So when then becomes now, I'll be waiting.

I don’t know what happened to Kuo. He used to be very accurate. Now he’s worse than Gurman. It’s like he lost his source or something.

Blame Tim “penny pinching” Cook for that. The display on my iPad mini 4 was very good. I had it for five years (2015-2020). I thought I would upgrade to the mini 6 in 2021, but that jelly scroll issue was really noticeable when I first saw the mini 6 at the Apple Store. I couldn’t buy it.

Agreed.
My iPad Mini 5 screen is wonderful

Screen on Mini 6 is, relatively speaking by Apple standards, “junk”

The ipad mini has not been updated the longest…and yet we won’t be getting the mini 7 at the event this week? Boo!

Possibility of AirPod Pro version for hearing aid option. A rumor IOS 18 will support and received approval of OTC hearing assist device. A very good option that clearly falls within Apple wheelhouse. Similar to the Apple Watch implementation. I could do that.

Do you or someone else knows who manufactures the mini 6 panel? Maybe Apple got a good deal from BOE or some other lower-ranked panel manufacturer. I know with past mini panels it was Samsung or LG who produced them.
