I am fine with sms. Rcs could and should stay with lagdroid as far as I’m concerned.

I’m going to be annoyed if I can’t turn it off but seeing as we can turn off iMessage idk why we wouldn’t be able to turn off rcs.

Because i have no use for it nor do I need it to talk to android users. SMS works just fine and I have iMessage.
Then you’ll never run into it. It is just a way that iMessage can send a message to people with Android. If you never send messages to Android, then you aren’t using it. You won’t see any change.

In Power On it said that AI features on device "will be supported by iPhone, iPad and Mac chips released in the last year or so" Does that mean that only iPhone 14 and 15 will get AI features and every other iPhone left behind?
It just means that they don’t really know more than the rest of us and are guessing.

What will Apple do when they cannot use new emojis as a "feature" of new OS releases anymore, because they are now AI-generated?

RCS helps everyone with iPhone to iPhone messaging as well as to Android and is a hell of a lot better fallback, higher quality and secure than SMS/MMS.

But we learned in the other forum you’d rather Apple fangirl to spite yourself rather than actually improve your texting experience. Sad, actually.
Lmao apple fan girl? I’m not doing anything to spite myself. SMS works just fine and rcs doesn’t help iPhone to iPhone. We literally have iMessage.

Rcs is for android and iPhone but as I said sms works just fine for me and I also have various other messaging apps.

Sorry I’m not on the lag droid bandwagon/bashing apple.

This is such an illogically loaded and fundamentally flawed take it's borderline laughable. It's like me ranting about a pride wallpaper showing up as an option despite the fact that I don't have to use it. RCS simply adds an intermediary fallback that maintains iMessage's rich features while still routing to carriers if iMessage has any issues or the receiving device doesn't have good signal.
You seem bothered that I don’t like the idea of rcs. Why idk lmao. I’m turning the feature off immediately and I have already told my friends not to use it when it comes to their iPhones.

I’m disabling it when given the Choice so itll
Be just sms and iMessage as it is now.

Even under Tim Crook's "brilliant" reign, Apple might have gotten a bit hung up on fancy googles while the rest of the tech world chased the next big thing.

AI photo search? to find a photo that you can describe and want to show to someone
Yep. I hope they go back to letting Siri be able to search photos. It wouldn’t be a new feature, but that’s OK just so long as they bring it back.

This already exists.

For several years, you've been able to ask Siri or type in Spotlight a description of what you want and it'll show you both photos on the web and in your own Photos library. I can ask for a specific dog breed or a colour of a car and it'll find it in my library and on the web.
But you can’t ask Siri to find it. That’s what I want. You were able to do it very briefly, but Apple took that function away.

I don’t think your friends would appreciate you telling them what to do with their iPhones. If some of them want to use it, it’s their choice. A good friend never imposes himself or herself on someone unless perhaps if it’s an emergency intervention. The use of RCS doesn’t fit that criteria in my opinion.

Waiting to see how much Siri will improve. Photo retouching will be good to have.
This is definitely what I’m waiting for. I am hoping to see a massive improvement, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up too high.
