not good

I think my ip4 battery sucks, 2 hr of usage, 4 hours standby already at 75%
I did a new phone setup not from restored. during the 4 hr, I use 30 min of map and 30 of iPod music. I just don't think it good battery life, I am coming from 3G. should I return for exchange?:confused:

I got about the same. Now I'm at 16% after 5 hrs usage 13 standby. Ive noticed the usage screen double counts standby and usage.. As I've only been using it for 13 hours!!! Never realised this before.
I'm starting to think that's how it is as I get 2% drain overnight which seems correct for standby.

well, since my restore and battery drain & charge. Ive dropped 2% with standby of 4 hours 23 minutes & 33 min usage.

Seems to be an improvement, will use it a bit more today and see how it goes :cool:

Ive got mobile me running push, 3g, and location services all on.

update:

battery @ 36% remaining
Usage = 7 hours 21 minutes
standby = 1 day 6 hours
Call time (current) = 47 minutes

The restore as new has deffo had a benefit :cool:

Wife and I received our phones yesterday... after reading about the battery issues we decided to set one up as new and one restored from backup. We made sure they were both fully charged before going to sleep. On standby, with wi-fi enabled, both dropped 2% overnight ~ 8 hours.

I'll continue to monitor, but to this point they both seem to be performing similarly.

My battery seems to be decent, despite restoring from bu. If my battery is underperforming, it's only slightly, but I can get 7 hours hard use out of it with no iPod use, which makes a big difference. If I use my iPod for a few hours, I can get a usage figure closer to 10 hours.

In any case, I'm still debating on whether or not to try the erase all settings thing to see if my battery improves, I would prefer that route so I don't lose my media or apps.

My question is, is erasing all settings going to offer the same benefits that restoring as a new phone does, with regard to the battery?
