HUHHHH???? what in the world are you talking about? if someone tells you to knock on the third door.. you knock on the dang 3rd door. 104 is obviously the 4th door. OMG.

By that logic, 14th day from the 2nd is the 15th.

why would you skip door 101? can you explain that?

if someone tells you to knock on the 3rd door. you go:

RM101 (1st), RM102 (2nd), RM103 (3rd door, KNOCK KNOCK)

clearly this door example doesn't apply to the return policy because:
1. return policy is the day after the purchase date, in your door example, RM101 is the purchase date, so YES 104 should be the 3rd door from RM101.

WOW. /end thread.

Yeah people who said the delivery date is day 1 make no sense. 24 hours makes up a day. That should give them 336 hours to make the return. In this case it would be the same time his watch was delivered on June 16th. I would be arguing that big time with the store.

Haha, reading this was comical enough, but here's just one more wrench to throw into the whole thing...

The day you receive the product, can you return it? YES...ok, so that's DAY 1 that you are "eligible" to return your product...the rest is simple, if you can't count the days from there...well... enough said...

Where's my caramel popcorn?

We're making this such a technical topic. Honestly though OP, if you've had experiences with cutting it short in the past why not give yourself a day or two to breathe and return it earlier.

Exactly! And that should be plenty of time regardless to "evaluate" your decision on if you want to keep the product or not.

tap me out.. this is too stupid for me to even waste my time on.

+1, this is beyond a joke now. We have people in the UK and U.S. which are saying their receipts from Apple do NOT include the first day. Basically the receipts say if you bought it in the 6th May, you can return up to and including the 20th May.

That's it, it's over, let this thread die a death. Answer found, question resolved.

I won't be wasting any more of my time on this crap.

Reading through this old thread because I had the same question. I've returned a couple of items that I've purchased in a physical Apple Store on the receipt's Return Date: this posted date on the receipt is 14 days from the purchase date, which does not include the Purchase Date in the count, and the Apple reps told me that I was past the return date even though the receipt plainly shows that I'm there, returning the item, on the receipt's Return Date. When I mention this to the Apple reps and show them the date on the receipt, they just say, "well, you're past the return date, and I have to get a manager override". Uh..ok, I guess.

I'm looking at a receipt for a Xs Max case that I purchased on 10/14/18, and the Return Date is 10/28/18, so based on this receipt (and others that I've had), Apple appears to be counting Day One on the day after purchase; if you count 10/14 as Day One, then 10/28 is Day 15. They always complete the return, but it's odd that they insist that I'm outside of the return window.

Anyway, I'm ducking out, and I shan't return. :)

It's weird you're having problems. I picked up and Apple Watch charging puck on Oct 12th and returned it on Oct 26th, no questions asked. Even confirmed with a CS rep last week and he confirmed 26th would be the 14th day.

Seems there's a difference of opinion, even among Apple store employees....

Simply, the day you receive or take ownership (whether in store pickup, delivery, etc....), the clock starts ticking.... Just accept that fact, and life will be a lot easier! :D No arguing the fact, that you will be within your return window!

OR as one store employee warned me, bring it back on day 13! Anything beyond that... yea, they're doing you a favor!

Best to buy online and collect in store. You then get 14 days to request the return and another 14 days to actually return it by the prepaid UPS label, win!
