The phones are physically almost identical in size, they just shrunk down the bezels to fit the larger screen size, how is that a bad thing?
The 6.3 are definitely wider and taller (3mm) than the 6.1 physically, I have both and notice the small increase makes a big difference in reachability in one handed use. At least for my hands anyway. It’s only a small difference but on relatively small devices it’s noticeable when using.

The bezel decrease was minimal.

And why bother buying it only to return it, increasing the price of these things for everyone?
Comments like this are bizarre to me. Apple has a return period for a reason, and at times, you have to try something out for a while before you’re certain it’s a good fit. Especially something this expensive. If you have an issue with Apple granting a return period, perhaps it’s best to take it up with them.

The actually body of the phones are the same size, the larger 6.3 inch screen size has come from making the bezels thinner
Just to be precise, the body is not exactly the same size, it’s 2 mm taller, 0.1 mm narrower, and 0.15 mm thicker.

And for actually using the phone, the display’s size matters at least as much as the body’s size.

The store where I can check the new iPhones always connect a security cable to the back of the phone, so I can’t really hold it properly… so the only way to test it is to buy it and retun it if you don’t like it for whatever reason. 🤷‍♂️

The problem with these security cables is that you can't really test the weight and get a feeling for the product with both hands because they are attached to this automatic "rolling-back-into-the-table" mechanism. The cable is pulling constantly. I'm always holding it back with one hand and holding the phone with the other hand.

I’d argue that most folks just use their phone for calls, email, social media and texting and pictures but that the 16e camera is good enough for most.

Im not sure why we all buy the pros as we hardly use any of its features..

Id be happy with a pro max size 16E

If 16e, why not 16 plus if after a '16e max' ? its a 6.7 non pro

So I had pre ordered the Cosmic Orange Pro Max for launch day delivery. On Friday UPS did not deliver the phone and looked like it could take a few days for them to locate the phone and deliver, so Saturday I went to the Apple Store and bought the Air so I could truly give it a try, as I know me.... and the first time I saw one at the Apple Store Id then spend the next year questioning if I would have liked the Air over the Pro. I am on the 1UP program, so I get a new PM annually.

I will say the Air truly exceeded my expectations on how much I was going to like it, and I forgot the excitement for having a truly new iPhone felt, not since the X did I have this awe when holding the phone.

The weight in my hand, how it feels in my hand, and when its in my pocket it was fantastic, Did not feel the weight pulling down on my shorts pockets, etc. The screen is stunning, especially with using the Liquid Glass theme, it just feels like a sheet of glass in your hand. The speaker did not bother me like I expected, It sounded fine for listening to You Tube, etc.

The battery life was fine, no issues with heavy use for the 48 hours either.

My Pro Max delivered today, and I cant get over how heavy this phone feels to me now that I have used the Air for 48 hours, The Pro Max truly feels like a brick now lol.

The decision was tough, much harder than I expected. But the single camera is what killed it for me, No wide angle lens especially became the deal breaker. I was at lunch gathering yesterday with my Corvette group, I tried to get a pic of the cars parked together and I could not get far enough back to get them all in a single frame, where as on the Pro I can just zoom out. I take lots of pictures through the year at car meets, or just day to day and sadly at the end of the day the single camera just was a deal breaker. The night shots are not even as clear on the Air as the Pro.

So this week I will return the Air.

The Air is a solid phone, and if the camera was at least a dual camera, I would have had no reason to return it. To those hating on the air without even truly experiencing it, It is a fantastic phone, both in looks, technology design, and feel.
