I returned my iPhone 4 today as the signal problems were making it unusable when i returned it i got told that the iPhone wasn't the phone for me and not to buy it ever again. I told the assistant that i have already had previous iPhone when the assistant just told me not to get one again.

That seems kind of rude for him to say that. Apparently he is just salty from someone actually returning it. He must be a die-hard fan that is in denial. :) don't fret!

I'm not sure how you can complain that the signal issues made it unusable for you, then you're upset they told you not to buy an iphone?

It's like the soup nazi from seinfeld
"no Iphone for you".

I LOVE that episode!

That being said, I wonder if it was just the case of a punch-drunk employee tired of complaints, long days, etc. or if something else was bothering him...or...if he simply said, "Maybe this isn't the phone for you."

You should report the name of the assistant who was suppose to help you. That's not an except able practice or answer to a genuine problem.

Because your return story was alot of crap and you know it; I don't blame the cashier. Sounds like you were looking for Cinderella but realized you bought an iPhone.

Not sure if this is true, but I have had the same sort of aura when discussing returning my phone with Apple reps. They talk like can't believe I would return such an amazing device and I am lucky just to have my hands on one.

Why don't you report him/her to Apple and the store manager to see, what their response is?

If somebody is treating you like that, you have to fight back!

I find it VERY difficult to believe that some tech out of the blue just said to never get an iPhone, ever. Not without provocation, that is.

Fight back against what exactly?

Being told "It's not for everyone" is not mistreatment, it's being honest. Who knows what approach the OP took? There's so little detail in this thread, it's impossible to determine how the conversation took place.

For all we know it was a back and forth consisting of "The reception on this thing sucks, I want a full refund and never want to see an iphone again!" which led to the reply "Yes sir, here's your money. If it's not the right fit, you should not buy one nor be expected to keep one."

So perspective here would help. I'm simply saying don'y jump to conclusions. This sort of conversation can take place in many different ways.
