I also had this heat issues with the i5 model. I removed the heat sink today and applied some liquid metal on the chip and temps drops up to 16C with some CineBench runs. Idle temps drops only by 7C.

Unfortunately, Apple is using low quality toothpaste on their chips. It seems like apply waaaaaaaay to much as well.

This is so sad... P.S. I'm Dutch as well. My Grandparents where from the Netherlands.

I am really disheartened with my new 13" MacBook Pro. The patch did help with the overheating, but internet speed, video streaming, and overall responsiveness is noticeably slow. This computer in a strange way, reminds me of my 2011 MacBook Air. Everyone tells me, "Get the 15" MBP." Why? I wanted the smaller size and this is categorized as a "PRO" machine. $2,500.00 is too much to be rocking such abysmal performance. My $200.00 Chromebook is faster downloading videos (ok, some slight exaggeration). I'm loyal to Apple, but my machine should be called the MacBook 13". Tomorrow, it goes back Apple and I'm so sadly disappointed.

If it helps, I also had to return my 2018 13-inch MBP. It all began when my Airpods wouldn't maintain a connection with my MBP. I went to my local Apple store and the Genius ran diagnostics and determined that the Bluetooth chip was faulty. Obviously, this isn't right and the best thing they could do was swap it but it would take 3-4 weeks. Or I could return it and reorder it again and only wait 10 business days for the new machine.

So here I am waiting for the new machine.
