Lol OLED in a car? Let’s see where this screen is in 4-5 years after all the burn in and degradation. Get an extended warranty if you plan to buy pre owned or keep for a while.

So they put all this 21st high-tech wizardry into it… and then throw it back into the 20th century with an ICE.
Am amazed any manufacturer is launching such vehicles given the bans most western countries have coming in the near future.
The future is electric.

An astoundingly ghastly vehicle, inside and out - it fell out of the ugly tree, and hit every branch on the way down! If you gave me one I'd sell it and get a fleet of MkIII 108 Land Rovers.

Absolutely - get a Tesla Model S Plaid.

Wasn't CarPlay supposed to support multiple screens in different aspect ratios (ie portrait orientation) since like iOS 13 or something? I've not yet seen one implementation of it. Some cars handle a nice large or wide resolution, but it's always the single screen with the same aspect ratio. With more and more cars having huge screens and digital instrument clusters, it's way overdue for CarPlay to fully populate that extra real estate.
Subaru uses the new portrait mode

I don't know if it's a CarPlay thing or the way Honda implements it, but if I'm just chilling in my car and listening to the radio or XM and then switch to social media or something, it automatically switches to the CarPlay input. I guess it sees that there is media playing or may play and it decides that it should take priority. Weird.

My CR-V and previous Accord did this. I think it's a Honda thing I don't remember my previous cars with CarPlay doing this.

These weirdly shaped displays make no sense. I'm sure they look cool in the renderings, but for usability it just makes no sense. Look at the temperature way in the corner.

Totally, but it still needs to be a rectangle. These totally arbitrary shapes are nuts. The only interface that would work on one would have to be custom designed.

I tried to tell someone their lights were not on at dark, and I did the old-school “rolling down the window” action to get her to lower her window. She looked at me like I was an idiot. It then occurred to me some younger people have never been in a car without automatic windows.

I love technology, but I miss a fancy radio being the most tech in a vehicle. Technology is permeating everything.
