you complain about American Car quality yet ignore the massive repair bills on imports… especially German cars

what?

that air was…. People couldn’t perceive you to “have money” because you was in a Ford

don’t have to lie to us bro, and American cars have outhandled the imports since the second gen CTS-V

Anyhow… Jeep nailed the Grand Wagoneer as a luxury land yacht… it is a little quirky on the outside. My fiancé is considering this along with a Ford Expedition Platinum or a Range Rover Sport

You cannot be serious to compare the quality of a German car with a Jeep. It is not even close.

When it comes to reliability…. Yes I can

Germany can’t even make a Proper twin turbo V8 that last 50,000 miles without eating its valve seals or doing an oil change without finding metal shavings in the oil pan (BMW N63)

let’s not forget about Audi and it’s Twin turbo V8 eating it’s PCV valves, or blowing up Both their turbos because of clogged oil mesh filters that you LITTERALLY have to disassemble the front end of the car to deal with…. Let’s not forget those fuel injectors which is an engine out service

yeah…. I can compare German **** to the American **** all day

to be fair…. GM V8s along with Chrysler’s Hemi eats their lifters at 80-100,000 miles but it’s far less costly and less complicated to permanently deal with those issues compared to those DOHC paperweights coming out of Germany

Peugeot’s releasing the Wagoneer again 37 years after Renault’s Cherokee. The French are at it again, we’ve gone full circle!

I couldn't imagine dropping $100k on a FCA/Stellantis product. It's like a who's who of unreliable manufacturers.

I'll continue waiting for my Rivian R1S, faster, cheaper, electric, low cost to run, probably better made. I get that Rivian is a US company but as someone who's used to Range Rover, Volvo, Audi, Porsche etc they always feel cheap and questionable on the inside. I was inside a rather expensive Lincoln the other week and it had this air of cheap Ford about it. They always feel like they will fall apart a week after the warranty runs out. Don't even get me started on their handling.
The new Lincoln Aviator and Navigator are both very nice cars -- neither are cheap at all. If you are mostly concerned about long term quality I would strongly recommend steering clear of the German manufacturers and looking to the Japanese and Koreans.

I guess that's why Porsche is at the top of reliability rankings?

Toyota and Lexus are no doubt reliable - because their tech is a generation behind the competition. I had a 2020 Lexus GX rental recently and the infotainment system looked like it came from the 90's. Toyota's 4Runner has the same mechanicals from 2003.

I have a 2018 Range Rover Sport which I'm holding onto until the Rivian arrives, couldn't imagine putting it in the same category as any Ford or FCA product. The Ford Expedition has a downright cheap interior and neither will handle close to how the Range Rover can.

Yeh I have no doubt the German imports are expensive to repair, among the worst, but I don't own vehicles outside of warranty. Also it's easier to repair a crude land barge than a segment leading European mark. Porshe, Audi, and Range Rover all have better depreciation than their US counterparts.

I see A LOT of you all need to stick to your Apple device knowledge. I'm a car geek first. Jeep ranks #9 on the JD Quality Study list, by the way. Every other car brand mentioned in the comments (especially the Germans) are ranked BELOW them in quality. Lexus is the only brand I think someone mentioned that is ranked above them at #3. You'd be surprised to know that the #1 and #2 spots are held by Jeeps cousins - The RAM brand followed by Dodge. Just because you had a failed Jeep 100 years ago ONE TIME doesn't mean the brand is the same today. Come join the rest of us in the automotive world in 2021. You're dogging an ENTIRE brand based on a past experience decades ago. #FunFact: The All New 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer is a RAM truck underneath. It's chassis/platform is based on its RAM 1500 cousin.

For those old-school Grand Wagoneer fans, they had a beautiful one at the event.

Buick and GM are ranked 4th and 5th by JD Powers. Lincoln is rated above BMW. What's your point?

This car is ugly inside and out.

Jeeps are good vehicles for people who like burning money. Idk what the hell a grand wagoneer is, but I would consider renting a proper Jeep for off road trail use and not this abomination.

Many people fail to understand that many Americans do not buy vehicles for what they look like, their ratings, value, or any other similar metrics. They buy them for what they can do with them.
I have a Jeep Wrangler (among other vehicles), which by any of the standard measures is a terrible vehicle. But it has provided the most fun experiences.

This thing is huge. Just looked it up, MPG is 13/18, that’s terrible. Like the screens and whatnot, but again, this thing is too damn big. I’m sure the buyers of this vehicle only have one or two children max. Waste IMO.

ps: keep doing the car review! I personally like them, something different. I like to see how the manufacturers are incorporating Apple Play.
