If I had to guess on an embargo date/time I'd say today at 10am PST - same time of day as keynote.

Complete guess so take it for what that's worth.
That’s my guess too. That’s Apple’s favourite day and time.

Tuesday 17th Nov 2020

10am PST
1pm EST
6pm UK time.

6 more hours to wait for proper reviews. I don’t usually get so excited but this is a big change.

I was expecting to see my Youtube feed to be littered with reviews but no dice. I'm getting a sneaky suspicion that Apple didn't send out review units.

Possibly! There is one other review scheduled on YouTube, but not one of the "usual suspects".

I don't know if there are reviewers under embargo or not, but if so, they are a bit late because ordinary folks who have received their orders are already reviewing them....

I suppose it doesn't matter, because we'll probably still watch the MaxTech, Gerald Undone, Matti Hapoja videos etc. Maybe even Linus will admit that the M1 looks quite good :)

They're also testing on a 4k monitor. Pros and cons at the mo re refresh rate but don't think they've using USB-C yet.

Except I was guessing Monday... LOL :p

Thanks for sharing. Really interesting results there - very early indications are that these M1 Macs are going to have absolutely epic performance.
apparently the two older macs were on mains power, and the M1 was on battery only :)

Impressive but a bit of an epic review fail (!)

I prefer this to be honest, if you follow the embargo and releases by Intel, AMD and Nvidia, it's painful.

Today we can take the GPU out of the box
Tomorrow we can show you it being installed in a PC
The day after we can show it running a few apps and games....and repeat.

Three weeks down the line we finally get the review and benchmarks.

Oh by the way when you we finally release the review you still won't be able to buy the product as we've sold all stock to scalpers who are charging 5x the retail price on eBay.

At least with Apple I can actually order a device and get a delivery date.

already for 8 hrs.. poor reviewer
Right?? I was looking forward to seeing something useful and tuned in while love to see some guy doing a chair dance or something. Humming some song. I get it, I’ll be doing the same thing when I get mine but come on.

What I don't understand in regards to Embargo is why can't we get the exact time its being lifted , what is the drawbacks of telling us that reviews will drop at 10:00 EST for example ? I can see why you don't want to have rushed reviews so you set an Embargo , but why is it so secret as to WHEN its being lifted .... is it the same for all other products launches that have NDA`s ?

Apple is gonna Apple :)
It’s the kind of marketing I will never understand.

I was hoping one of the MacRumors crew would have answered that question in reply to my original post.
