How can you tell if a watch charger is a fast charger? What is the slow and the fast wattage to the watch?
Slow is 5w which this has, for fast charging you need 18w

For travel, nothing beats a dual USB-C charger with a second Apple Watch fast charging cable (charges watch in 30 minutes while you get ready) and an iPhone charging cable. You're traveling ... can put up with cables for the duration. All these stands have slow watch charging which won't work for you if, like me, you like to wear your watch while you sleep for the sleep functions. Plus, the two cables and dual charger take up less room and are easier to transport and use elsewhere, like in a vehicle, or at the airport. Save the dock for at home.

It hasn't got Apple Watch fast Charging, the watch charger is only 5 watts, fast charging requires 18 watts
You keep saying this and it is not true. You might want to read the specifications from Apple.

The actual output of the original (slow) watch charger is 3W. The actual output of the watch charger for the 7 series onward (fast) is 5w.

The numbers you are quoting concern the included power adapter, not the power output to the watch.

Please stop repeating this over and over to people who might understand even less than you.

And note this passage:

You also need one of these power adapters:

  • Apple 18W, 20W, 29W, 30W, 61W, 87W, or 96W USB-C Power Adapter
  • A comparable third-party USB-C power adapter that supports USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) of 5W or greater

THIS HAS APPLE WATCH FAST CHARGING. Ignore all comments that it does not.

For the record, the wattage of the *included adapter* that plugs into the wall does NOT denote whether any apple watch charger will charge at the faster rate introduced with the 7 series. Stands that include the old slower charging standard frequently include power adapters of 20 watts and higher.

This otherwise random number of 18W watts is associated with the lowest wattage charger apple has ever produced (and has now discontinued) only because it was the most minimal charger they sold THEMSELVES which supports the USB POWER DELIVERY (PD) standard. The apple watch FAST CHARGER requires simply a minimum of 5W **PD**.

Over the years I've gotten accustomed to using only trusted brands for charging, in order to preserve battery life. Anyone heard of these guys?
I had never heard of them but saw their magnetic iPad arm mount mentioned in some article I think. Sort of went out on a limb and bought it directly from the company website and it turned out to be the best quality arm mount I’ve ever had. A family member saw mine and ended up getting one too. But that’s all I know.

That sounds nice. Mind sharing a link?

This is the one I got. It’s non-charging, but I think they have ones that can charge too now. They may also be available on Amazon now.

Looks awesome! Yes, one that charges would probably be best. Thanks!

The design is great. I guess the only miss is the Apple Watch slow charge. I wear my watch all day and all night and charge it when I'm getting ready in the morning. This wouldn't be possible without fast charging.
I think 5W for Apple Watch means fast charge?

Many people make the same mistake, the standard charger for the watch is 5 watts, fast one is 18 watts, Belkin Boost Charge Pro 2-1 has that.
come on, bro,it's wireless charging, 5W is fast charging. also Belkin tells this in their official website. stop providing misealding info here lol

I have a few older ones (from a different company, but we know how chinese manufacturing and branding works) around the family, and they work and hold up great. They fast charge both the iPhone and the Watch. I don't need another one yet, but it's great to see this travel-friendly form factor updated with Qi2 👍

Nah, the one in this thread has over the Anker is that it doubles as an adjustable angled stand - VERY handy for many scenarios.

Flat wireless chargers aren’t on my radar as they restrict view-ability.

I just picked up the older version of this one on Amazon (X40) - and give it an A+ for design. Probably pick this one up too as I need another and want one for travel.

I can’t comment on the quality of these chargers because the one I ordered three weeks ago still hasn’t arrived. It’s gone missing in transit, it seems, but Kuxiu is not responding to emails. I see now this is a common experience - do not buy directly from Kuxiu!

I am also disappointed in Macrumors for failing to warn people of the glaring issues with Kuxiu: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/kuxiu.co

I was very happy with this one until I got an Apple Watch series 10. For some reason, it has problems charging it. Sometimes the charging starts and stops again then starts again. Sometimes it fast charges, sometimes not. It was more consistent with my SE1 watch.
