Well I put the back Bodyguardz on my iPhone. One the second try I got it. I'm not sure how I feel about it just yet honestly. I do have some bubbles and just two areas that stick up. It looks well protected so far. Starting to get lint under the edges though. Not a fan of that. I'm going to wait the 72 hrs and if I don't like it I'm going to go ahead and take it back off. Just hope the back is in good condition if I remove it. - Anyone else remove BG and have the back of the phone be fine?

You should not have any problems taking it off. There may be a slight residue, but a damp cloth will easily clean it off.

I got my BG down on the back pretty straight on, but the corners are up slightly and now dust is getting trapped. Is there a way to fix this or should I buy the replacement? If you want to see pics let me know.

After 4 weeks of use, there is something you have to watch out for.

Because I had to repeel and reseal corners due to the corners folding up, bits of the corner has turned a bit "white." Or rather, contaminated. At first it's ok, but after regular use, lint and dirt WILL collect in those areas and making them loose and flimsy. To avoid this, cut small slits in each corner and make sure the application is PERFECT.

Yeah that is how mine looks right now. So I can just peel up those areas, add application fluid, cut slits on the corners and then put them back down? Or do I need to replace the whole skin? What did you use to cut the slits?

I would just get a new set.

These are great case replacements, after 3 months i would not go back to a case after using the naked iphone, with the skin.

My new BG set has a new cut, its slightly different on the cornors.
Anyway, for those who used the front shield. how do you like it ? would it be something you can leave on for a long while ? Thanks

there is a 10% discount if u use the code "phoneshow" when u buy from budyguardz.com

i used it and just got the discount

bodyguardz front is simply the best front shield money can buy

I am keeping my front shield on until it gets damaged ( and then replaced for free :) )

check out my review here of several shields

can you take pictures of the new cut ?

I applied the bodyguardz front to my iphone on thursday, and so far it's been great. I also attempted in applying the back, and my god was that difficult. I ended up getting so angry, that I just ripped the whole back off a swore never to put another one on. I think I'm just gonna get the Capsule Rebel to cover the back part of my iphone.

i have a problem here. i applied the bodyguardz on the back about a week ago and really had trouble on the corners/edges. so my question is can i take off the bodyguard on the back and then put it back on? the same one? if so, how should i do this and what should i be expecting?

LOL, I did the same thing with my original IS. I gave a half hearted attempt to re apply the used skin and was surprised to find it was much easier now that I had some familiarity with the material.

If you are unhappy with it, go ahead and give it a shot. It may even be easier the second time since the skin will be somewhat stretched into shape. As you're pealing it off, spray underneath to soften the skin.

I am beyond frustrated with trying to apply this thing to my iphone. I have gone through 2 bottles of solution and both front protectors, neither of which applied for crap. I dont understand what I am doing wrong... I followed the directions exactly.

Thumbs down... nothing should be ths frustrating to use. Sending it back with a big stinky pooh note. If it isnt supposed to look perfect, they shouldnt claim it.

Not sure what you are doing wrong.

For me, the front protectors are very easy to install and requires only a few sprays of solution for the protector and my hands.

The back protector is much harder. I have installed the backs 3 times with about 90% satisfaction. There's still issues with the corners, but I can deal with that. I think if I installed it one more time, it would be perfect, but it's not necessary

These are impossible to position... used both back pieces and applied multiple times and it still looked like crap. Used the saran wrap method, as someone else did (10 points to you because its a genius idea) and the corners were great but I had giant air bubbles all over the back and divots in the skin on the front.

And to top it all off... despite being extremely careful, some liquid must have gotten into the dock connector and fried it because now I'm getting the "accessory not made to work with iPhone" error constantly (its not plugged into anything).

Just a warning to those who might be considering putting one of these on, are you willing to take the chance of possible water damage and voiding your warranty?

yes, they are a beast to get on, but it is worth it. I used many coffee filters because they are a great "lint-free cloth" that is very absorbent.

I put mine on in early August, and then during the big heatwave, i used my iphone a lot (putting it up to my ear) and i guess all the heat and sweat caused the adhesiveness to go away a little (sick, i know)

anyways, i took it off a couple days ago to try on the Clarifi case by Griffin. you can't have both on at the same time, not even just the front screen. the edges of the BodyGuardz are shoved in, making bubbles from the tight fit.

Anyone left with thin vertical lines on the front screen after the shield has been applied? they can only be seen if the screen has a lot of white on it (ie. scrolling through contacts). The lines sort of look like water marks that still haven't dried.

I've had my BG installed for over a week now; is there any chance they will disappear? or should I install another?

Bubbles!

Hi Folks,

Been reading some of the experiences of Bodygaurdz application. I just did this on my iphone 3GS after getting bored with the Capsule Rebel case (which was good but wanted the sleek naked look of the iPhone).

True the rear piece is the hardest to apply - screwed up the first sheet so lucky there was a second. Got the second perfect lining up etc. But now the problem I have is that there are plenty of bubbles which after 3 days have not gone away!!

Is there anyway to get rid of the bubbles or am going to have to buy another set of Bodyguardz (irritating!!) to get this right?

Thanks folks.

If you register your purchase on the bgz site you can get a replacement for 5.00. BGZ will require you to send the defective skin back. after putting on 3 of these skins I can say that the the best way to apply the skin is to make your own solution in a bowl mild baby soap and water and dunk the entire skin in the solution shaking off the excess. this will take longer to dry but you will have zero bubbles. same for the rear it took me over and hour to apply the rear I did use the saran wrap technique and the corners are perfect to avoid having the saran wrap stick to the skin I suggest either taking the wrap off after an hour or 2. Before applying the saran wrap make sure the corners are fairly dry.

As for the over all quality of the skin the front bgz is very clear and smooth unlike the IS. but its not as durable as the IS IMO. the back can be slick. Overall I am happy with the BGZ and would recommend this product to others. You do need alot of patients when applying this product. I think it would alot easier to apply this skin in the spring or summer.

Hope this helps

I would give it like 2 or 3 weeks but honestly if your install is perfect i would go ahead and live with it. Its hard to have it 100% perfect in all areas
