I do the same every time I see an article on this company. I just go into Chipotle mode 😆I absolutely read this as Chipotle.

Yes, I also thought Chipolo had a "left behind" function but AFAICS the review makes no mention of that. That's quite a biggie if it does, so why wasn't it mentioned? Both Tile and Chipolo have a version just for the wallet. Also, Chipolo has a killer feature that will warn you if you've become seperated from your item which is way better than having to go looking for it perhaps hours later. I don't know if Tile has that. I'll be getting some Chipolos for that feature and and for the wallet.
EDIT+++ Tile does have Smart Alerts to tell you you've been seperated or forgot the item, but they charge you a monthly fee of $2.99 while Chipolo doesn't chare for this. This feature is critical and it's missing from Airtags.
Wallet vetsions have to be sent back when battery dies and pay a fee for replacement... and possibly different models as well. Too convoluted at Chipolo to figure it out. So beware. Hmph!
It could be another model that does. They only have one model that works with the Find My network.Yes, I also thought Chipolo had a "left behind" function but AFAICS the review makes no mention of that. That's quite a biggie if it does, so why wasn't it mentioned?
Every existing customer that switches to the findMy network will chip away away at their network because a device can only be on one.No, they aren't.
I think their main concern is the fact that they can't have both. Per Apple's terms they can only have their device on their proprietary network or the findMy network with no data sharing in between. At this point it's probably a good time for Google or Amazon or buy them up to catch up to the findMy network.I believe they could pursue a dual pronged approach. Keep the current network on android (until they copy findMy), keep the network on iOS for those who opt in, and allow the findMy for customers who opt into that. It seems the limitation is an either or on a per customer basis, primarily so data can't be gathered and tracked for the FindMy network.
also, they are concerned that they lose their customer data to Apple who doesn't gather it or keep it so LOL to that.
Sure but they don't actively 'destroy' their Android user's network or even their own network on iOS since every Android users will use that network instead. Find My is only another option for them to make money which ironically they don't want to adopt.Every existing customer that switches to the findMy network will chip away away at their network because a device can only be on one.
I‘m saying Tile will be destroying their own network if they adopt findMy, not the users. The issue here is that without iOS users‘ devices (most of whom I presume will prefer findMy Tiles if they become available) their own network will shrink dramatically in the years to come and make it also less attractive for Android users. Apple made it so they can’t be on both networks at the same time. Unless they can dramatically increase their Android user base, adopting the findMy network will not work out well for them. On the other hand, if they manage to retain some iOS users in their own network they might have a chance at competing with AirTags.Sure but they don't actively 'destroy' their Android user's network or even their own network on iOS since every Android users will use that network instead. Why not? Android has much more market share than Apple.Unless they can dramatically increase their Android user base
Sorry but this device wont help you find your phone from your keys. I bought 4. Good luck getting your money back when you figure that out on your own.So this thing is bigger than an airtag, uglier than an airtag, and has less functionality...
Why would anyone buy it? Surely not to save $1.
I'm not sold on the built in keyring hole. You can't comfortably have something this large on a keyring it needs to hang down an inch or so like an airtag does with the various accessories.
These days, you can just ask siri where your phone is. As long as the mic can hear you, it'll ring.
