Very neat little app. Does anyone else remember QuickTime VR?
Everyone I use cash at the Apple Store, the transaction is always super fast and efficient. They just use their iPhone scanners as the register and have a hidden register draw in a table for making change. But my store may be more efficient with transactionsExcept for removing the cash register. That never quite made any sense to me, and has kept me from going to the store when I need something because its a barrier to making a purchase. I've never had an easy process of buying something from an Apple store.
Its by the same guy. He's put up some really nice tributes and detailed pieces about the history of Apple Retail. This 3D experience is just fantastic. Lot's of memories revisiting all of these styles. Would be awesome if he did the original San Francisco flagship store on Stockton Street, it was a really iconic location that is now lost to time.Very cool!
Reminds me of this from last year.

Revisit the world's first Apple Store with augmented reality - 9to5Mac

Angela made sense with their "post pc" and "lets sell smartwatches as high fashion" initiatives. Both of which failed miserably. I'm not convinced they were particularly Angela's fault, so much as it was dumb marketing and product direction coming from elsewhere in the company.
But even before that, it seemed like the first round of damage was done by that British guy they had in the retail leadership role for a few months.
Don’t you think it’s cool though?anyone that mentions m*taverse is getting swirlied and stuffed into a locker
Who cares? It’s awesome! Not sure I'm a fan of the editorial slant in the headline. Is it news? Is it an opinion piece? Both?
I’m not sure what AA batteries had to do with it either…Deirdre had nothing to do with it so I don't know why you're bringing her up.
AA tried turning the Apple Stores into defacto Burberry Stores and failed miserably. She had zero clue what made them so beloved and special places to gather and get Apple gear and Tim "I Don't Like Confrontation" Cook let her.
She should never have been employed with Apple much less put in charge of retail.
It is a certain place. Heck, it’s on the same street as Apple’s old headquarters. It's weird seeing the Fifth Ave store not being jam packed with people.
Is the Infinite Loop a certain place or just a redesign of some stores? Cause the store next to the World Trade building looks exactly the same.
Yeah, I’m wondering too…What exactly makes them a confusing mess?
Exactly! When the Apple VR headset is release, browsing the AppStore will take on a new meaning …Now, this would be awesome in VR…just sayin….
amazing!Awww. I was at the opening of the 5th ave store... Even snapped a picture of Steve and his wife as they unexpectedly exited out of the FAO Shwarz next door...

It’s a nice touch, but the buttons aren’t quite right. I was stunned that they were able to recreate the original Mac OS X intro video in high res like they did.I love seeing high resolution Aqua buttons
Wow -- just gorgeous
Most people are happy about getting a cool, free app. I bet if you emailed him, he would update it so your favorite Apple store is mentioned in the paragraph about Tyson's Corner. No love for the Glendale Galleria (Glendale, CA) Apple Store which opened at the same time as the "other" first store (East Coast)? Now Glendale has two Apple stores across the street from each other, but I'm sure the Galleria store will close soon so that the better, brighter Americana location can be the focus.
A pleasant change for sure! This is the most positive comments section I’ve ever seen on MacRumors.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. This is the most positive comments section I’ve ever seen on MacRumors.
Back when ifoapplestore.com was alive, I seem to remember that Tyson's Corner is considered by Apple to be the "first" Apple store even though Glendale opened on the same date.No love for the Glendale Galleria (Glendale, CA) Apple Store which opened at the same time as the "other" first store (East Coast)? I would absolutely love a video game like that! Somebody needs to make it happen!Potentially set the path for Apple Store Simulator that you can create your own Apple Store and deal with some weird customers.
We shouldn't get picky now...It’s a nice touch, but the buttons aren’t quite right.
They're worth $2.5 trillion now! That's great for my stock! Not like corporate greedy cant innovate my ass holding it wrong slave labor Tim cook Apple now!
