There is a lot going on in China these days. It is a country that is growing very fast. Things like this will probably be happening more often, plus the recent rise in nationalism (read: burning anything Japanese).

It's kind of a right of passage. China is changing and these things will all be stepping stones to a different way of life. The way the government functions in China can not go on forever. Especially with such an enormous population. I say let them riot, they've earned it.

So everything was dramatically more expensive before everything was made in China?
Please.

It would be now. Things change over time, you know. American workers (and European ones for the most part, too) are just too damn expensive.

Yes. 40 years ago a 30 inch color tv would set you back over $500. Considering incomes 40 years ago were only 10% of what they are now, that was a huge sum of money. Now you can get a 50 inch tv for that price and it takes up a lot less of your income to buy. The same can be said for appliances such as dishwasher, fridge, stove, etc. And also clothes, shoes, etc. Cheap labor has increased our standard of living, and also theirs, but not at the accelerated rate the western world had.

What the crap, China? You have to do everything bigger don't you? We have bar brawls, which consist of 20-30 peps, and when you have a brawl, its 2000? F you.
