IMHO, Magic Mouse must be the worse place of equipment ever produced by Apple, it has horrible ergonomy. For work, nothing beats the trackpad. For games, I use Razer Naga.

Agree, Magic Mouse is a pos, horrible ergonomics and use. I just could never get used to it. Love my Logitec for my desktops and laptops if I want to use it with them, but I generally just use the trackpad on the laptops.

You're holding it wrong! The magic mouse is designed to be cradled like in this picture, with the palm suspended over it and only the finger tips touching it. That way, with my big hands, it is the most comfortable mouse I have used. If you treat it like most other mice, where your palm wrests along the back, then I agree it is uncomfortable to use.

From using the magic mouse in stores, it almost feels like it was made for smaller hands?

Never heard of this before! Thanks for the info! I'll have to check it out!

Never held it wrong, I used it with my iMac used to own and laptops and just could never get comfy using it, flipped it on Ebay. I never play games either. Way prefer the ergonomic feel and sturdiness of my Logitech. What's funny is the little company next to one of my businesses on my floor has a couple iMacs, but all Logitech mice. But with the laptops I just use the trackpad anyway.

Some may like using the Magic Mouse but I just didn't care for it, especially for what it cost.

Yeah, it's really just a matter of preference. I love the touch anywhere to scroll feature. Makes it worth it for me. I always hated those old Apple mouses with the tiny ball that would stop working after 3 weeks.

The magic mouse is 10x better than most logitech mice.

Sure, if you're gaming you'll want something else, but for actual work it's perfect.

Not really. Its too small and too low. My wrist and hand hurt using it. I prefer a bgiger mouse.

Then you have not used many mice...or your hands are very tiny. This is the worst position for your hands. I'm not suspending my hand or arm. That will get painful pretty quick.

You are proving my point. If you think it is too low that is because you are trying to rest your palm on the mouse, which it is not designed for; you are holding it wrong.

To reiterate what I said in my post that you quoted, I have large hands. And you misinterpret my use of 'suspended' - the heel of your hand sits on the desk, and your fingertips rest on the surface of the mouse; the palm of your hand is not in contact with the mouse (it is suspended), although no muscles are tensed to maintain this position, ergo it is not a fatigue-inducing holding position, and your assertion that it is "the worst position for your hands" is quite wrong.

Built-in trackpad when mobile, Magic Trackpad when docked to an external monitor & keyboard at the desk. I love keeping all the same gestures/workflow regardless of where I am.

Can we turn this into a "Who's using the oldest mouse?" contest? I think I'm a good contender:

Use this USB 1, 11 year old, bad boy occasionally, but I can definitely feel it's a little long in the tooth. Gets a bit unresponsive/unpleasant sometimes. I just use a PS3 controller for gaming really, but wouldn't mind a nice new mouse at some point.

I roll one of these bad boys for home: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/mice-pointers/mice/marathon-mouse-m705

And a magic mouse for work. I have to say the magic mouse really isn't too bad, infact if you use full screen apps it's pretty useful being able to just flick back and forth between. Plus I find scrolling better than the logitech. I always thought they sucked but having used one for a while I quite like them
Damn, apparently the batteries in that thing last 3 years. Don't Magic Mouse batteries last a month or a few?

Yeah, two or so months for me.

I still love my Magic Mouse though, I find it comfortable (people were trying to rest their palm on the back of the Magic Mouse?!?!) and I can't really go without the gesture support. I don't really get the derision the Magic Mouse attracts.

The old Mighty Mouse however... that was a hunk of junk. Side buttons that would constantly trigger randomly when you're using the mouse, and a scroll ball that gummed up every two weeks. Not to mention that absurd cable on the wired version. Damn. Good riddance.

I’ve got a much older version of that...

The absolute most comfortable mouse I've ever used. I can configure each button to do what I want it to do in specific programs, adjust sensitivity, and adjust each panel to fit the shape of my hand (or replace them with other included panels with different shapes).

Overkill?

I use a logitech G400. I don't really even game (much), I just really prefer the ergonomics, and I am too used to high-dpi mice to use anything else at this point.

News flash. You rest your hands on Mice. To make one that operates differently is just stupid.

Now i use the RAT 9 wireless and as a back up i have a 6-year old MX Revolution.

Only the best for my MBPro. ;)
