Arent you embarrased using "koolaid" twice in the same post? If i see "kool aid" one more time im going to puke. Isnt there some other saying floating around now? How about "buying the bananas" or something. Please.

Kool Aid! there you go... go ahead and puke on your laggy rMBP

Get over yourself. We get it. You are jealous, and now you are resorting to trolling to make yourself feel better. We get it, in your opinion this is the same old crap. So why are you here?

There is a slight noticeable stutter using the integrated gpu with ML, when scrolling through spaces. This wasn't there with Lion and it's not there with ML when using the discrete gpu.

I've tracked my spaces stuttering down the the Downloads folder "stack" on the Dock.

Changing its "Display as" option to "folder" has greatly improved my spaces switching.

That's quite interesting. I've always used folder mode, so that might explain why it's not been as much of an issue for me. Sure enough...just tested...it is definitely more laggy if the dock is in 'stack' vs 'folder'. I'm sure it's not the only reason, but that was a pretty epic discovery on your part!

Have you thought about submitting your find to Apple's feedback site?

Ha ha! Well, i wish that were the case. Bipolar machines can be fixed. This seems to be one or the other. Truly bizarre and i dont think ive ever seen anything like this in my whole career. We need a showdown for sure and get to the bottom of it.

Might it have to do with the CPU choice? The integrated graphics is part of the CPU. According to intel, they all have the same base frequencies for the iGPU (650MHz), but the maximum frequency is slightly higher on the 2.6 and 2.7. But maybe the 2.6 and 2.7 are "more willing" to clock up quicker

I've submitted this to Apple.

THANK YOU! you just discovered it!! Apple should pay you hahaha... although i guess we are all first adopting-beta testers =/

edit: BTW if you have **ANY** stacks you will have space switching lag. I had to set my documents and downloads both as folders instead of stacks.

Just wanted to also confirm this.. as soon as I flipped it over it seems that all of my mission control lag is now virtually gone...

Me jealous? with what? you having a rMBP? as a beta tester. Never again I will buy a Apple Rev A product. I actually bought a Hi-Res Mid 2012 Macbook Pro I love the processor and GPU on these computer. But I think using this GPU and processor on a Rev A rMBP is overkill. The technology have not catch up yet. Apple is pushing it to the limit. Before you accuse someone of trolling and jealous get your fact straight. But one thing I know you have a picture of Steve Job beside your bed. :D

Cool story, so what are you doing here again? Aside from your snide remarks. We are all greatful you are using a finished but likely obsolete by next year product. Let us beta test!

Whoa dont get ahead of yourself there. Obsolete by next year? really so is your rMBP. Besides the display we have the same Ivy Bridge. Don't tell me you gonna buy a new rMBP next year when Tim Cook come out of the stages for WWDC. "Here Apple here is my money take it take it, for my one year old rMBP feel outdated now"

Well considering how well Apple devices hold onto their value, one probably wouldn't lose too much money upgrading. I expect the rmbp to hold onto more resale than the cmbp.

And the performance issues are way overblown. In most tasks it feels just as usable as other modern macs.

Yeah I think I am going back to lion for the time being, I never noticed the lag before, but now I notice it everywhere...:(

I agreed about resale value and Macs, But unless they fix the issue that rMBP are having right now the resale value will plummet real fast. Specially when a better, newer, flawless rMBP comes out. Then if you say rMBP is flawless right now and there is no issue...why are we having these kind of thread. :apple:

For me it was much better going to ML on my rMBP. If you check my threads, I was one of the rMBP Rev A. 'unfinished, released too early' crowds lol. After going to ML, I'm definitely keeping my rMBP after I was close to returning it.

since this topic is solved... can someone help me figure out why the calendar month switching animation is so laggy?

I didn't say that I was, but I improve. I looked at a few of your posts and they don't show progression. Look back and notice that I'm not the first to comment.
