I rocked my 6 naked for the past two years and it still looks completely mint since I always wear it in a separate pocket and not dropped it even once. No visible scratches, no dents, no scuffs.

Sooo... it's a no-brainer for me to rock the 7 naked, too. I just LOVE the looks and feeling of the phone itself. :)

Actually cases are for people who want to get top dollar for their iPhones when they trade them in. :)

with the way resale value for phones is plummeting, it seems less important. I have always used my phone naked and was OCD careful, but now I just use it. AC+ helps make up for a few dings.

Definitely going naked. Have had my 6s for almost a year and it had faired well. Only time I put on a case is when I am going to high-risk situations, like concerts or to the bars.

I will be taking a pocketknife to my 6s leather case to make the camera opening larger, and will continue to use that.

I always use my iPhone's naked...on the other hand, I always put a case on/around my wife. I would like a good resale value in a couple of years from now...

Never used a case for any iPhone. Even with a scratch they look better than with a case.

I will for some time when I first get it. Unless I get JB, then I'll probably have it in a case 24/7.

I always get a clear case to start for night outs incase I drop it.

I never understood this logic. Do these people apply plastic covers to their Camrys as well? Saran Wrap their tubs for when they resale their house? I'm not unfamiliar with this logic, I just don't get it. I want to enjoy the product.

Lots of people put clear protection on their cars. You can enjoy your product as you like. I do get it. :)

I've now gone to a 7+ and not sure if I should go naked or a clear case

You're going to drop a naked + guaranteed. 100% certainty. Apple's + phones are one of the most difficult things to hold on to securely and the most slippery dry things I've ever held in my hand.

Do yourself a favor and get a Loopy case.

The iPhone 6/6S designs are the slipperiest phones I've ever held and the iPhone 7 looks no different. There's no denying how amazing it feels using the phone naked, but it's just too risky for me. I rarely drop my phone if ever but I attribute that to the extra grip of a case. Minor things you do without thinking like swapping hands can end terribly because of how slippy slidey they can be.

Since I'll be doing IUP I plan to go caseless for a couple reasons (I will get a glass screen protector tho cause Apple screens scratch so easily and so deep). First because I'm only having the phone for a year and I think I can trust myself for that long caseless, I have Apple Care+ if anything breaks, I don't own the phone and I've not paid through the teeth for it. So yeah, caseless with a screen protector.

But first I need to get my damned reservation.

I just judge the room I think...hard floors/outdoors case is on, soft floors/carpet the case is off!

That sounds like a lot of work.

Although I just got back from holiday and I managed to scratch my iPhone 6 Plus up pretty bad with...sand, of all things. So maybe when I go away I'll whack the old case on haha.

I'm going naked since the only reason I keep a case is to make sure the phone is in good condition when I upgrade after a year so resell will be good. Since I'm using the Apple trade in after a year, as long as it's in "good physical and operational condition" I'll be good. Though I do regret the one time that I had my caseless Iphone 5 on my counter and it vibrated off and shattered. Just so nice going bareback with a phone :D

Going to try rocking the Jet Black 7+ naked. I know it'll probably get some superficial scratches, but I'm very careful with my devices - never carry in a pocket with keys, etc. I am also planning on getting AppleCare+, so if in 6 months it looks ugly, I can pay the fee to swap it for cosmetic reasons. Finally, I'm on AT&T Next Every 12, so I'm only going to have this phone for a year...

For all of these reasons, I'm going to take a chance and rock this phone caseless... Anyone planning to do the same?
Thanks for helping to turn AppleCare+ into something much more expensive than it ever used to be, which is costing all of us now, because of this type of conduct. But no thanks.

And Why does your username keep changing? What are you hiding?

I've ordered a Ringke Fusion for my iPhone 7+, decided against going naked since it's my first plus model.

It's funny to see this thread,I decided to go naked with my last few days of my 6S+ and DROPPED IT YESTERDAY!! i was on a hurry to catch my train and it fell on ciment. I dented the 3corners and the silent toggle :(

I really need to stop putting it in my pocket when wearing sweatpants...that's also how I shattered my 6 2years ago lol
