Everyone seems to say it's bad. I'm using rogers now and had been for 8 years, sometimes my voice plan goes over $60/month and I dont even talk that much. The unlimited evenings and weekends seems like a deal to me.

Typical Rogers BS though. I got HD TV recently and the website said that you could get additional channels for something like $4. So I called to get TSN HD and the woman says .. "oh .... you can't get that channel by itself .... it only comes in a bundle with 3 other channels for $8".

Damn you Rogers!!!!!
Telus TV is like that. You can get bundles of 5 channels, and buy some on their own for like $2. Except the good ones. I have been without Teletoon and Comedy for nearly 2 years because they're on separate bundles. If I want Teletoon, I get 4 other stupid kiddie channels. There's no f'n way I'm paying $10 for two channels, no matter how awesome they are.

I'm curious.

Is there an extra text messaging plan you guys can add on? 300 max incoming is a bit low. For $115 you should be getting unlimited.

Sympathies Canadians, you has them.

Ya I have unlimited text messages. Its weird up here, have to be a customer for a while to get the juicy deals. But we are always raped on Data... ALWAYS

For the base plan, 400 MB of data doesn't sound like a lot to me. Not for emailing and web browsing. But I don't really have anything to compare against.
Can anyone comment on this?

Just moved to Toronto from the UK,

The Canadian are being screwed by Rogers big time.

Even the basic rate is poor, 400MB that's a waste of time and I assume that's up and down traffic.

Paying for caller ID and incoming calls is something from the dark ages. 3 year contract, again. 18 months would be OK.

Come on T-Mobile get to Canada and kick some ass, even Carphonewarehouse, come to canada and show Rogers how it's done.

Lets have a pay as you go iPhone.

Does Canada have OFCOM, www.ofcom.org.uk if not lets start one.

I know I shouldn't be speaking, since in the UK where I live the situation with O2 is just as miserable - but to suggest that 'unlimited incoming sms' is a feature of the price scheme sounds to me completely ridiculous

What does unlimited text msgs run you? I can totally see it being some absurd amount.

The problem with these plans is if you're a low minutes user but high data user you're essentially being forced to pay for the plan. That's utter rubbish.

yay for telecom monopolies. way to go, rogers! your efforts to keep canada in the 3rd world of telecommunications bear fruit.

With as much browsing & emailing that people do on the iPhone you need unlimited data. I feel bad for you guys/gals. This will also hurt iPhone sales north of the border. Apple should have made the carriers agree on offering unlimited data.

This really hurts my feelings... I had hoped that either Apple would hold out on the iPhone until unlimited data was guaranteed or Rogers would come to their @#$% senses.

I'll probably just keep my unlocked iPhone.

If I were you guys I would be furious. AT&T gives us unlimited data as a standard and it looks like you guys are getting jipped out of minutes.

I know AT&T is evil, but wow.

You have to pay for caller ID? HOLY S***!

Considering most of my time is spent on a university campus with WiFi everywhere, the data limits don't really bother me.

But even the cheapest plan works out to nearly 100$ a month and that is a lot to spend on a phone for me... looks like I'm gonna be canceling my land line.

All Canadian providers offer unlimited incoming texts. You just get charged too much to send them.
