Anyone else credit card get charged? Hopefully its a good sign!

Nope. Haven't been charged yet. I also never got a confirmation email until I chatted with Apple Support and they were able to manually trigger the confirmation email. Now at least I have the email and it shows up in my Apple ID account online.

Anyone know how to see what time the order was placed? The email time doesn't count cuz it came through hours later when I talked to support.
 
In N. CA using the mobile app: I couldn’t get in until 12:10 am and got the 11/17-24 ship date for a 256 GB silver X on the IUP. Must admit I’m disappointed... looks like later people were able to get launch day delivery from carriers.
 
Happened to me too and it was weird. Between Apple Store app not coming up for several minutes and AT&T website putting me into a virtual line, it was Apple.com that came up first. Initially it was showing Nov 3 delivery date but for some reason did not recognize my Apple ID when I went to login. So I had to checkout as a guest which meant typing all of my information in. By the time I got to the point of being able to submit my order - maybe 10 min - the delivery date was then listed as 11/17-11/24. I saw that and thought WTF, but I went ahead with it anyway, to at least have an order placed with a delivery date in Nov.

Then, AT&T's site opened up to me and allowed me to place a preorder with 11/3 delivery date. So I was going to preorder from AT&T as well, and then just cancel the Apple.com preorder later today. Well, when I went to submit that order, it said that my credit card could not be verified, and right then I knew that meant my credit card had been flagged. I don't normally attempt to make $1,000 plus purchases at 3:30AM and so my account got flagged for suspicious activity. I knew I would have to call card member services at my credit union and would have to wait until business hours to do so. So, no-go for me on ordering from AT&T.

Obviously, I called card member services and explained the situation and told them to note my account that a large transaction from Apple would be coming through within the next 2 weeks. At the end of the day, I'm honestly fine with the time frame. During this previous month of waiting, I told myself that I would try to preorder, and as long as I could get it in November, I would be good with that. And who knows, once the release date comes closer, maybe Apple will bump up some of the orders. I would be fine with that too.
 
Serious question - how am I supposed to show myself in public after Nov 3 with my iPhone 6 when everyone knows full well the iPhone X is out... I don't even know if my iPhone 6 will function after Nov 3.


Same!! I feel the same way!!!!!! So ashamed!

Well not that exact date, but just a little before 11/14 - 11/21 ship date for a Silver 256GB model. I could’ve gotten the in-store pickup for 11/3, but the check-in Times available were only until 6pm and I wouldn’t have been able to make it after work, so I opted for slower shipping.

I had trouble at first getting through on my iPhone SE using both the app and website. When I switched over to my iPad Pro 10.5 I got in on the app after like 1 refresh and ordered. When I checked my SE after it was still on the “We’ll be back message.” Strange. Glad I had my iPad with me. (Didn’t try on my MBP.)

Phone isn’t for me, but for my gf. I’m letting her use my 7+ while she waits though ,as I sold her 6s. Once she gets her X then I get my 7+ back.
 
Frustrated, but not by the ship date directly since my 7 works just fine.

No, it's that the desktop site worked but shoved me to an app that didn't and then broke repeatedly once the store did load. Should not take a dozen tries, ever and while I get that everyone has an app now, if you offer a website you need to respect that people will sometimes prefer them still if you have a web store. Don't override customer choice with yours. And if you do, you must make sure that your imposed choice functions. No errors. No failures. Load and do your thing and get out of my face.

Then it refused to let me select pickup. I'm a mom with an ex micro preemie who has medical issues, so therapies and other appointments, and I work on top of that so just staying home is no small thing. I could pick up every laptop and phone I've ordered before, so why not now when I really need to do so? Not all customers are stereotypical childless twenty-something hipsters who work anywhere.

The super frustrating thing is, I was in on the Apple site pretty quickly, verified via AT&T and ready to check out with a Nov 3 ship date (and even a Nov 3 pick up option), but the final blue Continue button didn't do anything. I've had this happen in the past, and I think it has to do with Safari Apple Pay on Apple's own site (!). By the time I switched to Chrome and got the order through, shipping was, yep, 2-3 weeks with the above window.

Not the worst, though; just maddening to have had Nov 3 dangled there like that and lose it due to Apple's site. Now I'm hoping that we'll get these sooner, as Apple tends to underpromise with these shipping dates.

Mine was showing Nov 3rd as I clicked through but then I kept getting error messages for the AT&T verification. And by the time the order was submitted it was 2-3 weeks.

Yup. I was getting errors at the stage where it was checking my Verizon info. Seems to have been a bottleneck for a lot of people. It's really a bummer after they advertised the Apple Store App + prequalification being the way to speed through.

AT&T 256GB SG, site wouldn't let me on until 2:08 CT was out by 2:10, Confirmation by 2:13. Got 2-3 weeks, I didn't even notice that a pick-up option was there I was going so fast. The thing that is frustrating me is that other people who were ordering the same phone got Nov 3. minutes after my order.

but hey, it could be worse. Hopefully it ships earlier than expected.

Same boat

did the T-Mobile IUP in iPhone app, 256 X, a silver and a black. Turned out doing preapproval was a big mistake as we could only finish the pre-orders with the app and it started working 5 minutes after the web did.

well will get the phones soon enough, the 7 is still decent.
 
Mine too. I kept erroring out and when it finally came through, those were my dates.

My wife's went through smoothly and she got a 11/3 date. No errors and her store opened early. Mine was late.

I kept getting errors as well in the Apple Store App. Moved to Safari on my MacBook Pro and got one error on that, and then finally was able to checkout. Got the Nov. 17-24 ship date. I hope, like last year, I get my iPhone X earlier than the shipping dates Apple has provided. Also, I really hope it comes earlier because Nov. 23rd is Thanksgiving and I travel for Thanksgiving. Apple should work hard to make sure the people in our shipping date group get their phones before Thanksgiving, so people do not have to change their Holiday plans to get their phones!

Last year my iPhone 7 Plus was supposed to come Oct. 4-10, but it showed up on Sept. 24th. Apple typically underpromises with its shipping estimates, however, so some customers may receive their iPhone X earlier than expected.

Exactly the same here. T-Mobile Silver, 256GB - November 17-24. 12:09am. My T-Mobile black, 256GB is now November 3 (after being November 10-17). 12:08am, that one.
Confirm came in at 12:10 for 2 Silver 256GB T-Mobile still stuck with 11/17-11/24
