Will you get this a day earlier or the same day as scheduled but u pick up instead of delivered to house?

Same day I was told as long as it is a service center and not a ups store. But I can pick it up at lunch. If I waited at home it wouldn't be delivered till the end of the day. I'm on end of the route. I will let you know for sure when I get the pick up notice.

For those who are currently sitting in Incheon Int'l airport the next flight is tomorrow's UPS99 which is scheduled for 10:14 PM local time or 9:14 AM Eastern. All of us that were pushed back a day today should be on that flight otherwise it will be another day. SIAP

Yea mine got pushed back a day (now scheduled to get to me Friday 9/23)....it is at Incheon:rolleyes:

I found this on the main Apple.com orders thread:

FWIW, the UPS guy told me today while I was picking up my iPhone that UPS had a massive conference call a day or two ago... he said they were told Monday is going to be a total s--- show because "they screwed up in China."

Apparently some phones were inadvertently left in China or put on the wrong planes. Ouch.

Hmmm. wonder if this had anything to do with it. I guess we find out tommorow if these are still sitting in ZZ.

Thanks for finding the original post I was referring. Glad I haven't totally lost it in this shipping mess.

So the fastest way to get the phone truly,is to pick it up from the ups center(service center?)in your city?rather than wait for delivery to house?
Yes. If you do this you can have it as early as 9:00 (at least for my center) while a delivery to your house will be later in the day

No matter what I'm super anxious. I was so happy when I switched to PFS but then quickly got pissed off at the phone not shipping, this morning it finally shipped and now I'm dying waiting for the stupid thing to move. Can't win!!!

I'm just hoping tomorrow is "Christmas", and we all wake up and see that my phone has finally made it stateside. Otherwise... what... maybe Monday I'll see it? Okay. If they said Monday originally, I'd be good -- but then saying Thursday and having me make work arrangements to WFH *twice*... blech.

I'm just ready for it to show up already! :p

ZhengZhou 11:30PM scan #neverforget ;)

This doesn't pertain to most of us but I saw someone ask about FedEx earlier. There is a flight leaving around the same time as UPS from Incheon to Anchorage.

Also that should be the UPS flight some of us are on if they skipped scans or you been hanging out in Incheon

As much as I'm hoping to wake up tomorrow with a 'phone ready for pickup' status at the local UPS center, I've got a feeling that 1 of 2 things happened:

1) The apple dates of Friday for the batch of phones I'm in was accurate. UPS goofed and posted the Wednesday date. It should've been Friday all along.
2) The phones are still in China stuck for some reason (plane issue, customs, etc).

I think it's number 1.… its like the pre-order thing when people are guaranteed a phone on launch day (remember those days?;)), and people see movement prior to that, but you know no one is getting their phones delivered before the date that APPLE says. My shipping e-mail from Apple said I'd get the phone the 23rd. UPS said the 22nd. I got my hopes up… damn you Apple!

I think you are correct, and if so,does that push each batch/flight after that back a day also ,ups says Friday for me but Apple says Monday ?

Yes it can delay it a day or two
that not true...I got mine sent to a UPS Customer Center and it should be available when they open that morning instead of riding around on a truck all day and me not knowing when they are delivering to my door...

EDIT: Sorry, thought you were talking about sending it to a Customer Center not an UPS store...yeah if you sent it to a UPS store, it'll be late in the day or next day before you can pick up since they have to deliver to them just like they would to you....

I have a feeling that whatever date Apple quoted you in their "it's shipped" tracking, is the date that you'll get it. But, I hope I'm wrong; I hope that my phone is NOT in Zheng Zhou when I wake up tomorrow, and that it's on it's way home.

I'm hoping the scan mess clears up when the flights get processed that are landing around 2am eastern. Guessing those are the best hopes for us that are waiting for scans to show up. Those are the ones that match up the best for the departure scan that was shown earlier.

Pretty weird they have a UPS99 and UPS99A literally flying in sync. I bet it's a lot of 7/7+ on those flights

If you also look at future departures from Louisville, KY, you can see UPS flights all over the country that arrive in middle of the night, maybe in time to hit trucks for delivery tomorrow? Worst case, Thursday. That's assuming a lot though.
