Not lying. Here's Proof. Why do I get error messages when I try to upload screenshots from my iPhone? But it let me upload this. Smh.
Had to take screenshots of my screenshots to get it to work, but here you go!

What did you say to the rep to get them to move it up?
I doubt they'll do it now because I've heard others have tried since and Apple has instructed their CSRs to stop doing this. But I explained that delivery date changed to later date while I was in preorder process and I'm out of state for work Oct. 3 - 7 which covered most of original delivery dates. Still not sure new delivery dates mean much since ship dates (2-3 weeks) are same. Plus Apple often sends these expedited anyway. We'll see.

They likely stopped doing this bcause so many people were suddenly going to out of state during their delivery window.

Psh I tried that on Saturday and no luck. No offense to people who do this but your maybe taking someone else's spot and isn't fair.

Anyone else thinks it works that way?

yeah i mean if you get your phone faster by complaining - someone else is being bumped.

Dude, this might explain why my order got bumped up to 9/30-10/6 and then bumped back to 10/4-10/10.

Eh, whatever. I still think it doesn't make a difference.

You tried the same thing on Saturday. Only difference is I called Friday. So if they'd done it for you on Saturday, would you still think it's unfair? I really don't think my new dates mean anything anyway. I'll likely get mine the same day you get yours.

This doesn't prove to be faster yet. We will find out when they process our orders. But the lady i spoke with said its 2-3 days faster, and isn't worth it. This is because they already ship with expedited 2 day shipping, so i don't really see the point in it. They wont make your phone any faster if you get the expedited shipping.

Exactly. Only later did I find out it might be meaningless. lol. In fact if I recall she said to hang on a minute so she could see what she could do and then she told me what she'd done after she had already done it.

So my mother in law ordered a 7+ 32 gb Rose gold for Verizon on Friday night at like 9 p.m. CST and her phone had the original date of September 27-29th. Her phone was put into "Preparing for Shipment" yesterday and UPS tracking said she will have her phone delivered Monday. Let's hope that all of us with the October dates will be treated like this soon!

Thats what the rep told me, we will see. Keep us posted

curious, did you pay the extra 6 bucks for it?

So many people in the Apple pre-order thread said they got their dates pushed up by talking to a rep. I would hope not that many people were lying, but it is very fishy.
It's not that the shipping dates were changed, it was the shipping method. From 5 day shipping to 2-3 day shipping. I'm sure the date it was planning to be shipped out didn't move, just how quickly it'll arrive after it's shipped.

It's totally bogus. Everyone gets the same shipping. I did not get "expedited shipping", yet I'm getting mine Monday (was in the sept 27-29 bucket). The csr I spoke with said it makes zero difference. And I'm proof of that.
[doublepost=1474061100][/doublepost]In fact the Apple Store app still shows me as sept 26-28 delivery and says "standard shipping". Yet my UPS tracking says express. Shipped today, delivery Monday.
