Thanks! Looks like I'm the first flight out of Louisville, landing at 5:55 AM. It's going to be cutting it very close but I believe a Sat. delivery is possible!

My local customer center said packages delivered by flight usually arrive around 8 AM, which gives UPS about 2 hours to sort and transport to my center (which is 1 hour away from the sorting facility near the airport). So it definitely looks doable. Here's hoping for the best! Still have a horrible feeling that it's going to make it here well on time but Sat. delivery won't happen.

Yeah very thankful. After paying 850 dollars in the middle of the night as soon of the preorders started. They are doing a big favor

Man... you're getting the phone 14-20 days earlier than they originally promised it. You're the kind of guy who, when handed $100 cash, would complain that it was two $50 bills instead of five $20s.

Does anyone know if UPS will deliver tomorrow for those effected with their loops/mechanical delays etc? My package will be in a Portland where I live tomorrow as early as 6:00 AM
 
People are really forgetting,the whole point of "preorder"is to guarantee launch date acquisition,period.and to be given a delivery date,supposed to be fastest possible shipping on preorders ,then to have the issues arise,everyone is entitled to their personal feelings of disappointment and let down to varying degrees ,within reason,no one needs to thank a company for doin their job.

The problem is that you literally would suck up that failure of a shipping estimate

Dwfaust, I hope you are as free with your opinion when you get the email from Apple saying your iPhone delivery is delayed. Be sure to hit reply and give 'me hell and tell them they don't know what they're talking about.

You're forgetting that there is a finite number of devices available for launch day. Pre-orders do not guarantee anything except a phone at the date that comes up based on supply, demand and your timing.

Still don't have any sort of delivery date. UPS said the 22nd when they first sent the tracking info. But that email from Apple was awesome!

I'm assuming Monday delivery. Or CC pick up.

who else is gonna try to get a free leather case from apple due to the inconvenience? Please post if you were able to

The Apple Online Store manager tried that on me today. She said why don't you look at our leather cases and find one you like. I stopped her right there and said I don't use a case (actually have Sena slim pouch). She's like oh sorry. Not getting off with a $45 case that cost them $5. Tired of Apple telling me what they think I should get. They should be offering gift cards of $100. They give away cases for the smallest issues. I rather take nothing than a case I don't want or need. Gift card at least lets you get something you want, not what Apple wants to give you.

Apple has changed a lot in recent years. They used to be a company that never said no and tried to solve problems. Now they just lie and expect us to keep buying their overpriced stuff. Oh right. We continue to no matter what anyway. Lol

Had Apple sent me a shipped email saying it would be the 4th I could understand but the company made promises that it's vendor didn't uphold. No sense of entitlement here, just want what we paid for. We expect a certain level of service from a company who has provided the same in the past. It's the joys of being a customer.

I got an original date of 10/4-10. My phone, like those of many others here, went PFS on 9/16, sat until it "shipped" 9/19. UPS gave me a delivery date of 9/22. Apple said it would be here 9/23. Last time I checked, my phone was sitting in Anchorage. I won't be here until next week. That is still ahead of the 10/4-10 dates, so I can live with that.

Crap happens. Attitude about how to handle that crap is key. Life goes on. You just have to keep using your old phone until the new one gets here. Not the worst thing one could encounter.

Then that is the company's job to cite that,also to not have a full lineup at launch is also their fault,the first man in line couldn't get a jet black plus,so it really wasn't even an official launch if they had a skeleton crew of product,also,doesn't explain the shipping b.s.
