I got an original date of 10/4-10. My phone, like those of many others here, went PFS on 9/16, sat until it "shipped" 9/19. UPS gave me a delivery date of 9/22. Apple said it would be here 9/23. Last time I checked, my phone was sitting in Anchorage. I won't be here until next week. That is still ahead of the 10/4-10 dates, so I can live with that.

Crap happens. Attitude about how to handle that crap is key. Life goes on. You just have to keep using your old phone until the new one gets here. Not the worst thing one could encounter.
So you manage your attitude and we will manage ours. No reason to tell others how they should feel about stuff they paid for.

All right,
Then that is the company's job to cite that, also to not have a full lineup at launch is also their fault, the first man in line couldn't get a jet black plus,so it really wasn't even an official launch if they had a skeleton crew of product, also, doesn't explain the shipping b.s.

Apple also clearly announced that there would be NO iPhone 7 Plus devices available in the stores on launch day. Not sure they could have been more clear about that.

Apple and ups both quoted me a delivery date that has now been past.regardless what date they originally said on order processing email preorder night
[doublepost=1474685409][/doublepost]I just want the phone I've paid for ,without being screwed with on "information unavailable "b.s.

Not at all. The Apple/UPS shipping thing was a unmitigated train wreck. But despite all the failures, issues and delays, you are STILL getting your phone earlier than they originally promised it.

All these people who talk about us getting our phones "earlier" than expected are not getting it. Apple puts phones on sale at 3am est. Like many others I put my order in as soon as store takes my order, and get Sept 9th date, but then it kicks me out and says it couldn't verify my eligibility via AT&T. It's then 3:13 by the time I complete my order. Get Oct 4th to Oct 10th dates. Those dates are padded just like every year. I've gotten November dates before and still gotten it on launch.

I don't think most of us are mad about not having it on launch. It's all this other crap that's making us so livid. Once you get a shipment notification you expect your delivery in a reasonable time. Since UPS said the 21st, that's the date I go by. I wasn't crazy when they switched the date to the 22nd. I only became upset with the constraint lies and lack of information. Compounding the issue is locking up our eligibility so we can't even cancel and buy something else until the phone gets returned to Apple, and the fact that many people who didn't wake up in the middle of the night were able to make reservations and walk out with the same phones we were told were 2-3 weeks away from being delivered. So forgive me if I don't congratulate Apple for a successful launch because I will get my phone before Oct 4th... if I have it by then.

I am not telling any one how to feel. But regardless, Apple gave you an estimated delivery date at the time you pre-ordered your phone... and they beat that estimate.

You're forgetting that there is a finite number of devices available for launch day. Pre-orders do not guarantee anything except a phone at the date that comes up based on supply, demand and your timing.

You're forgetting that Apple

Well said.

Again. Another that didn't understand that Apple said 4-10. But they also said in their shipping 23.

I'm not mad at all about the missed date today. The communication of both companies was terrible.

Why dont you guys try and reserve one in the morning around 7:30. Thats what I did after canceling my order and got a 7 plus mb 32gb like I wanted. There where others available too.

At the end of the day, the shipment email will outrank the original preorder email. Yes all of us did get 10/04-10/10 but once shipment notification was given those dates were nullified and gone. So at that point you have to go off of what's most recently given to you. At my place of employment, I can't tell someone one thing and then change it and then try to go back to what I originally said. That's like if you go to Walmart and an item was originally $1 but it went on sale for $0.50 but you get to the register and the cashier says "oh that's $1". You're gonna say "umm no the sign says $0.50". Guess what price you're getting it for? So I don't blame people for being upset. One shipping date was advertised to them and they didn't get what was advertised to them. False advertisement would piss you off too.

:)

Damn, really. This thread is mostly a bunch of pretty cool people. You have your opinion on how we should feel...ok, we got it. Most of us have enjoyed our "time" together here (for a lack of a better word). We get that you disagree with our frustration on how things have gone.

If you don't like to read/listen to what we have to say....leave the thread. Simple.

Not that I actually think I'm getting my phone tomorrow, but I have 2 horses still in the race. Flight arriving at 6:32 to JFK or the 6:19 flight getting into Newark Liberty. I can't imagine everything lining up correctly to make that happen but it is logistically possible. I just think with so few flights leaving Louisville when we would all need them to, Apple and UPS will just deliver Monday.

Yea I have the feeling Apple and UPS will take the easier route and just deliver Monday. When in reality, they could get many of us our phones tomorrow if they wanted to

The Apple Online Store manager tried that on me today. She said why don't you look at our leather cases and find one you like. I stopped her right there and said I don't use a case (actually have Sena slim pouch). She's like oh sorry. Not getting off with a $45 case that cost them $5. Tired of Apple telling me what they think I should get. They should be offering gift cards of $100. They give away cases for the smallest issues. I rather take nothing than a case I don't want or need. Gift card at least lets you get something you want, not what Apple wants to give you.

Apple has changed a lot in recent years. They used to be a company that never said no and tried to solve problems. Now they just lie and expect us to keep buying their overpriced stuff. Oh right. We continue to no matter what anyway. Lol
You guys are lucky you have Apple Stores in your country. Where I live, there will be no such privilege or compensation cos there's no Apple Store here.

Man... you're getting the phone 14-20 days earlier than they originally promised it. You're the kind of guy who, when handed $100 cash, would complain that it was two $50 bills instead of five $20s.
You know most of all ordered in anticipation in getting sooner regardless of the original estimated ship date? You must be new here.
