Man im looking at the 27-29 thread, and they sure are salty that we are getting movement. HAHA
Yeaaaa, I think I give up at this point. Not checking back until Monday(I'm lying of course).

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I don't think we will be getting a tracking number til Sunday afternoon.
I doubt they work on the weekends.

Well, we got the change to preparing for shipment last night, which would be Saturday morning in China. So it is feasible they keep working during the weekend. Here the are manufacturing sites from Flextronics production keeps going pretty much 24/7 sometimes.
But Anyway I agree, it makes sense that we might wait until 24 hours from now, which would be Monday morning in China.
Yes, look at my posts and screenshot, finally got one from our group SHIPPING WITH TRACKING...
EDIT: now you guys have me second guessing this is my phone, god dangit. I am now questioning it because it says Shipping Information - TO Santa Monica CA, and I live in Pennsylvania......

They are surprised because per-ordering at the first hour usually shows launch day shipments or they at least see their dates being pushed up...every year. It's a regular occurrence and they are excited to see it happen once again, because it most likely will.
So what? Why in the world would it stay at preparing for shipping for over 2 weeks? The date range is an estimate. That's it.
Popping back in just to say that I still have no movement. I am still processing, credit card not charged, nothing.
To not have stock available on launch is a purposeful move on Apple's part to increase the hype ,cause after this many years they have a good idea the units needed at launch,c'mon lets be realistic
Explain to us all the pattern that is being seen then? preparing for shipment, then shipped about 2 days later. I don't see any way that our phones will ship until the 4th. I ordered at XX:15, so its already ridiculous that it hasn't shipped yet. I can understand if you ordered it 2 days after, but not 15 min.
Nobody's saying it definitely won't ship till the 4th or beyond. I just can't understand the complaints - on September 17 - that there's no movement yet. I expect no movement till close to the end of September. If it happens sooner, AWESOME! But to EXPECT and WHINE that there's no movement yet is just madness.

Because I preordered at 2:15 AM, 15 min after sales started. IT is preparing for shipment. I say Monday at most it will be shipped.
