If anyone could Post their experience with going and picking up/reserving a phone online that already have a phone in PFS that would be appreciated. I'm seriously thinking about doing that
That's almost the tracking times for my watch... Only difference is the order processed time is 3 minutes earlier...
Dying to know how people get along with their Store reservations that have PFS on their orders.

Were you tied into FPS or was your order still processing?
Exactly how I feel,I'm just very impatient,I almost did it,I woulda got stuck paying a restock on my preorder as it is pfs at the moment,but that jb looks sooooo smooth I'm holding out
I was tied to a PFS, but will just keep that going since i cant cancel. I will just return the one i have for the 2 weeks. I have multiple lines available for upgrade, so i lucked out.
Call att to cancel. They can update instantly. I ran in to the issue of canceling through apple and it takes longer to reinstate. Had to pay full price for phone. Now I'm wondering if I can return and repurchase tomorrow under next
When talking to AT&T earlier, they said the order showed as pending and they could not reinstate the upgrade on my line. I gave him my order number from apple.com. His information showed my phone but no serial number attached. Just pending, not much information for them to see when you order through apple.com, I even gave him my installment ID number from the email I got about billing and payment through AT&T from Apple. Nothing showed for him.
Just woke up (yeah I'm a late sleeper) and I have a pending charge for Apple and it went to PFS 
It may be frustrating, but it's not irrational. You can either preorder the exact phone that you want with the knowledge that you'll probably have to wait, or you can reserve one for pickup or wait in line and possibly get it sooner. What we don't know is how the two processes are coupled. Some people are saying that they were prevented from reserving because they had preordered, while others seem to have done both. I suppose that it would be nice if anyone with a preorder was asked if they still wanted to keep it when they made a subsequent reservation, but the logistics would be very challenging, especially for orders in PFS status.
Don't get me wrong—I want my iPhone as much as anyone—but I'm willing to put up with the complexities of Apple's ordering system. One way or another, I'll have my new iPhone in a few weeks at most.
We pre-order to NOT have to wait (especially at 3am EST), and if we do wait, hopefully not longer than store re-stocks for walk-ins. That's the hope
In all my previous pre-orders, I was a able to secure a phone for launch day. This time even though my purchase went through in seconds there was a 2-3 week wait for a JB+ 256
After reading as much of these 60pages as I can .. is it really common for launch dates to get moved up once the credit cards are charged ? I noticed mine go through yesterday and status change to preparing for shipment.
I'm expecting nothing until October, but is there precedence from previous years ?

When did you order? I chatted with someone at Apple about shipping sooner, and they really don't have a clue. Blah.
Quite frankly i'm extremely jealous of those of you who have an Apple Store close by.
That may be the hope, but it's usually not been the reality for me. Every time I've preordered early, I knew that I might get the phone/watch within a day or two of launch, but that's not usually what happened.
Because I got to see my delivery window immediately when I preordered my iPhone 7, I was able to decide whether or not to go ahead. Some people seem to proceed and then try to get the phone at a store and cancel their preorder. That may be gaming the system, but I'm OK with it.
Was able to cancel my pre-order, walk in the store, and grab a matte black beauty! Thanks to the person who posted the reservation link earlier! I was not PFS yet.
I checked stores in the three state area, and none of them have the phone I want. Having a store near by doesn't guarantee a phone. *shrug*
Last night there were no NY reservations all. Kept refreshing until 12:30. No luck. Gave up.
