Well I'm at the Apple Store and I was able to reserve something. Hopefully I can get a phone but if I'm already at PFS maybe they won't let me? Either way I'm giving it a shot because I really don't want to use my broken phone any longer
You have the option to go through carrier programs. I just called AT&T and my upgrade eligibility went through almost instantly after I cancelled.

I wanna hear someones experience trying to pick up their RESERVED iphone today while their apple.com order was in FPS on AT&T next program. Hopefully I hear some good news before I head out to my local store at 2pm for my reservation. If not, at least someone else will be a happy owner of that phone.

I'd reserve and cancel my order if I could get the phone that I ordered (MB, Plus, 256GB), but it's not available. I'd rather wait a few weeks and get exactly what I want.
Yeah! I'm worried that this reservation is only for EXISTING IUP members and I'm not one of those so it might not work out for me because of that. I'm still gonna wait and see
Also want to hear.. I just reserved a phone, but on the reserve page, there is only mention of IUP. I am on AT&T Next and will have to process the upgrade through this program.
And so far, I've not heard of any in-store reservations avail for 7+ JBs so we'll still be some of first!
Those in PFS, it's only going to be a matter of a day or two in all likelihood. Those with end of Sept received their PFS a few days ago and now tracking. So factoring in weekend, Monday or Tuesday, we should have tracking.
If you are processing, try in store and cancel. If you are in PFS, the hassle could land you two phones.

This is kind of creepy and hilarious, So my order number is the same as this guy who ordered an apple watch minus the last two digits, it's bound for Santa Monica, CA. I live in PA. The reference numbers show his number, when searching facebook with his number, it shows his account and that he lives in LA, haha. So this is DEFINITELY NOT my device.
It's not rational that anyone can reserve one and go get it but those who stayed up or got up to reserve didn't get theirs first or even a shipment notification. My local store has reservation as early as 45 min from now for the model I preordered.
So if I understand this correctly, if you reserve to pickup in store, you do NOT have to do IUP?
Don't worry it's just a glitch,some people had that yesterday and it shortly went back to PFS in a little bit.
Okay, great. Thanks! I was thinking of doing monthly payments through them. But i was worried that my Verizon rate would go up if I did it that way. That was the only reason I didn't preorder with Apple on day one.
