So just chatted with Apple looks like they will ship Monday or Tuesday.

Ok, this is strange. Mine was one of the first that changed to 'preparing for shipment' and I had a pending charge on my CC. It still says preparing for shipment but the pending charge on my card has disappeared and I have not been charged. So what does that mean??

Your bank probably only keeps a hold for 48 hours. Nothing to worry about.

That reassuring to know it'll be shipped out on Monday or Tuesday. Honestly don't want to sit through another weekend.

Been PFS for 43 hours or so now. 128 GB 7+ JB. Decided to go to Apple Store and see one up close. Looks beautiful but as others have noted, already evidence of what a scratch magnet the JB is. So went ahead and purchased tech21 case for it as I am kinda hard on my phones and it was either these or the Apple cases in-store and these are supposedly more shock absorbent. I can always return if I don't like how it looks once my phone arrives.
I think our orders went to PFS together, I remember it was one of the earlier October batches. Hope it'll be shipped out tonight.

True, but in all the years of banking with them I have never seen a pending charge disappear completely. They always change from pending to charged.

My order taxes was paid with my Amex. The charge was pending at first then dropped off. A couple of days later it posted as charged and my order changed to PFS. That's happens to me with Amex.

Sorry if this has been asked a bunch alread but what is Standard Shipment in Apple terms? Once we get the "Shipped!" email, how many days is that until it's at my door roughly?

From what I've seen you can will be able to reserve a phone for in store pickup fairly easy,so if yours isn't scheduled till late October or November I would just keep checking Apple site for your configuration you need(remember Verizon can b used for all carriers,at&t n T-Mobile compatible with each other only)seems to be much quicker option except for jet black obviously, matte blacks out the ass now.and most people live within 2hrs. driving distance from an Apple Store too.im holding strong for my jb 7+,**** matte black ,hey just my 2cents take it or leave it.

Not me. If I can get a matte black tomorrow, heck with the JB. It says preparing to ship, but who knows. I want a matte black 256GB...want, not need...

It was about 2 days for shipping for my wife to receive her Rose Gold Friday. Tuesday or Wednesday marked shipped then Friday delivery. I believe Apple uses a standard 2 day shipping on all orders. Sometimes they will expedite too.

Availability seems to be increasing every single day and every state in every configuration with shipments going out daily I would think people can get one fairly quick by the end of this week in store

I almost did get that matte black today but looking at the pictures for the jet black it just looks so seamless with no lines I'll keep waiting I'm pfs anyway

But if you are in PFS you can't just go and reserve an iPhone and pick it up unless you want to add a line or pay in full and return one later. Am I wrong about this? I could have picked up an AT&T 128GB Matte Black 7 Plus in NYC but I was hesitant I would be forced into Apple's upgrade program with Apple Care or turned away. Can I reserve one and Apple cancel the PFS in the store and get me on AT&T Next 24 (upgrade every year)? Thanks.

Usually PFS cannot be cancelled. Usually.
