I was in the oct 4-10 delivery. Checked the reserve and pickup at 4:00 pm eastern at the Aventura store in Miami had every single color and storage available picked up a 7 plus 128 black at 4:30 and canceled my previous order. The apple associate couldn't activate my phone the first try so they offered me a free leather case. (Amazing service) no more tracking. My wife's phone was sep 27-29 and its scheduled for delivery Tuesday. For every body still waiting try to check the reserve and pick up in a store next you and best of luck.

Were you PFS or Processing?

Processing. You cannot cancel in PFS. Not right away at least. You will have to take delivery and then request a return. Once the phone is in shipped status you see an option to request return. My wife's phone is in shipped status and I have an option to request return.

Really? Then you must not have been reading this forum the last few days. There are MANY people who were able to cancel a PFS. Only a shipped item cannot be cancelled regardless of what the website says.

It's not written in stone. There are many that couldn't. I just don't know if the reps can see anything different that leads them to say no or if it depends on the rep. In the past, that policy has been cited. And they usually point to a return policy.

All that aside,it did seem that many were able to this week.

I could be wrong on the PFS. My wife's phone stayed in processing forever and when it moved to preparing for shipment the cancel order button disappeared. I guess people were able to change it by calling.

I guess we should say 'Your results may vary.' Good luck all!

But if you are in PFS you can't just go and reserve an iPhone and pick it up unless you want to add a line or pay in full and return one later. Am I wrong about this? I could have picked up an AT&T 128GB Matte Black 7 Plus in NYC but I was hesitant I would be forced into Apple's upgrade program with Apple Care or turned away. Can I reserve one and Apple cancel the PFS in the store and get me on AT&T Next 24 (upgrade every year)? Thanks.
No ,once in pfs you can't technically cancel, you would have to return once it arrived , since it would be returned no real extra money is being spent in the end of it all

It's all really about how many hoops do you want to jump through to get your phone as soon as possible and there are many people like myself that have no patience for waiting
[doublepost=1474245145][/doublepost]I personally would never cancel my order until I was in store with a phone in my hand , accidents and mistakes happen all the time phones always disappear

There isn't one person here that has cancelled before they were in the store and knew for sure they had it. Good advice though!

I only ordered from Apple online yesterday at 11am and it went to PFS and charged my card 2 hours later. I almost wonder if they're pushing PFS to minimize people cancelling online orders as they find phones locally. :/

I'm going to be patient and wait it out, but it's frustrating. Almost feel like had I waited another couple of days, I'd have found a Rose Gold 7+ 256 in town here. We have 5 Apple stores in the valley.

If you are going to reserve for pick up. Make sure you cancel first. I didn't and once I got to the store I had to pay in full because my att upgrade was used by the first phone. They gave me the option to use the Apple upgrade program , they will always try to sell you the one with the Apple care but you have the option to use the apple installment without the 129$ apple care. You need a credit card do do so and not a debit card.

I ordered 2 - 7 Plus' (256GB - Black). One for me and one for my wife. They were ordered about 8:00 P.M. (EST) on 9/9/16 via the Apple app on the AT&T Next program. Both are still "Processing". They'll get here when they get here.

I ceased getting up in the middle of the night to order the second the pre-orders are live. Too many times where it was impossible to get an order through in time to get it on release day. I like my sleep too much.

Exactly. I didn't want to cancel and then get to the store and not have it waiting or miss the reservation window. It looks like the reservation system is pretty on point. The apple guy said that I couldn't have picked up without a reservation. Seems that they want everybody to order online.

Same. My guess is maybe we'll see shipping in a day or two and receive by Friday of this week. That's my hope anyways lol
