Been lurking on this thread since the beginning. I woke up at 3am on the 9th to try and get a pre-order in. By the time the site/app was finally working everything was showing Oct 4th - 10th, so I said screw it and went back to bed. On Saturday the 10th I decided to order one since the time frame had only changed to Oct 5th - 11th. As most of you, I saw no movement all of last week and as of yesterday was still in "Processing Items" when I saw the link posted for the in-store reservations around 11am. By luck, one of the Apple Stores in Orlando had the Matte Black 7+ 128GB available and a time slot was open to pick it up at 12:30-1pm. I cancelled my pre-order and headed out.
Less than 30 minutes in store and I was on my way with the new phone.
Honestly, I could not believe that stores got stock for walk-ins before all the pre-orders were filled. That seems very un-Apple like and is not fair to anyone that does not have an Apple store near them. Thank you to whoever it was that posted the link.
I feel for those that don't have the luck I did in being near to an Apple Store, hopefully as more people do this, the line for pre-orders will shorten and everyone can get their phone before October.

For anyone that is in ZhengZhou, it will next go to Incheon, and then from there it will go to Anchorage.
So from China, to South Korea, then to US? My phone is more of a world traveler than I am!

I'm not quite sure how it is getting from ZhengZhou to Incheon as I didn't see any UPS flights between the two in the time frame UPS tracking showed.
Did you just get the email now, or was that sent from eariler in the day? I'm trying to get some hope for today lol.

Ordered through Verizon 9/9 12:15AM MT and received confirmation on 12:28AM MT.
Ship date Oct 5 on email and link says Oct 12.
Still processing..... I have yet to see any movement on CC charge or status change.
Is there any chance of getting my phone before Oct 4? I will be on vacation for 3 weeks from Oct 5th.......

Well, I go back to work tomorrow (five day stretch). Hopefully my week should go by faster then...but man, I'll be bummed if my iPhone doesn't come this week. I'd love a shipping email tomorrow.
Okay so I just searched for tracking on UPS using my order number and It brought up a shipping label created today, about maybe 20 minutes ago. Its headed to a different state and weights 12lbs. I got so excited for a moment.
Just three more weeks till our phones are guaranteed to be delivered!
