Some people (or is it a real company) already managed to do a parody of Apple's new iPad Air advert!
Very funny !

The Verge calls the iPad Air "really beautiful,"...
That's amusing. It has a brick shape (as are all other tablets). What exactly is so beautiful about it? One could not come up with a more boring shape even if he tried.
You're weird. Why would one have to be ugly for the other to be beautiful?
And just because you personally don't find them beautiful (which is no surprise), that doesn't mean that others have a similar impression.
It might surprise you, but the small bezel of the mini was a non-issue so if the iPad Air handles it the same way, it's great. A small bezel doesn't need to be a problem at all, no matter what other tablet manufacturers try telling you.
Edit: In your opinion, what is the reason for the Verge people to write something like that?
Why do Apple treat the iPad as a second class device as opposed to the phone?
Why do they fit the best hardware in a phone and hold back the tablet?
I was wondering if this is in preparation of an iPad Pro line. With the rumors of a 12" iPad prototype there might be a little meat to it.My first impressions - ipad Air is a silly name for a good product,
Wonder what is Apple's reason of not having the Touch ID. Other than saving for next year iPad...
How is the Air "fully outdated" before being released. I don't see any tablet with better specs than the air.
Well, I don't need one right now, so it doesn't hurt me to waitExactly, why buy now? Why enjoy the device even when it's not perfect? And when next year rolls on and the newest iPhone toasts bread, why not wait till the iPad toasts bread too? Why buy a device that isn't perfect, despite the fact it's mostly perfect?
Wait forever and live in less than mediocrity or live in today and at least enjoy the devices and products we have available to us now, despite the fact they may not be what we want them to be, because forever and forever more they will never be what we truly want, because we don't live in the future, only our expectations do.
sure, pal. youre not going to get something that saves you time because its not on *other* devices, despite the fact that it didnt even exist as a feature a month ago.
interesting logic some of you have.
the sensors are likely supply constrained and reserved for meeting the enormous iphone demand.

as a software developer and avid apple product purchaser, i have no idea what an IGZO is or why i need one on my tablet. i suspect that i dont.
considering they upped its processor with dramatic performance gains, and reduced its weight by a 1/3, that it did not suffer battery is impressive indeed.
ive never found myself wishing my retina screen was more retina-y.
do you know how childish you come off? really? the iphone has an amazing processor, the processor of a high-powered tablet. see what i did there?
what on earth is that even supposed to mean?
the disappointment is inside you. truly. i see all the same products and think they sound great. they offer much value to me and i look forward to investing in them as new tools.
i can't see how an iPad 2 is still $399? Why not make the iPad 3 the new low end model? At least that has Retina display. Better yet, make last years the low end since it has lightning instead of the old aged 30 pin connector.

I realized now he is just a troll, who recently joined. Probably some android troll.
Well as a person who is a software developer I suggest you do a Google search on IGZO and see what an amazing technology it is. It would dramatically increase battery life and allow your device to be even thinner. I'm surprised you haven't heard about it as it's been all over rumours for the past year. It's not some obscure futuristic technology. It will be implemented in all TVs, phones, laptops etc very soon.
I remember people on here talking about how the touchID was a dumb gimmick and now that it wasn't implemented in the new ipad everyone is up in arms
Seeing as how my iPad stays at home 99%, I'd want touch ID to prevent family from seeing my browsing history. It would be bad.
