According to the "leaker" its a prototype not a concept.

According to the article, the image is a concept created by the guy claiming the existence of the prototype. The prototype/s may or may not exist, but we really have no idea if the image is representative.

The notch has never bothered me, but would nice to lose it. The new Pro has been a great upgrade with the massively better battery life, the ultra wide lens, night mode and a much nicer (IMO) matte glass (especially in green).

An iPhone without the notch, and a fourth 5x or greater zoom lens would be pretty close to prefect. OK, and maybe losing the camera bump.

This will be the first 'new' upgrade since the iPhone 8 for me. Always updated 'one behind' (just bought the XS Max) bur take my money for this one!

The next gen fully redesigned premium model always starts at the max price of last gen’s premium model + 50USD, so I guess 1499USD for 2020

64GB full screen no bezel iPhone

I honestly can’t understand why you people are so hung up on the notch. JFC.

It’s invisible to me 99.9% of the time, in the same way that our two human eyes learn to block our nose even though it’s within the line of sight.

Even when this big, bad scary notch is gone you all will quickly find something else to feel tormented by.
The notch is the reason why the iphone can’t display the battery percentage anymore. It’s also the reason why I have no idea whether I’m still connected to the VPN or not. That quite a trade off for gaining essentially bugger all.

I never understood why people are so upset about bezels, unless the bezels are larger than the screen size it doesn't bother me one bit. I use computers and phones with bezels and they look so fine... a full screen is better than a annoying notched one.

I hope this rumor is true.

And I think it's wise Apple offers at least one notchless phone in it's lineup. There are plenty of people (hand raised) who will never buy a phone with a huge notch/cutout/hole, etc. on their screen. I am hanging on to my 8+ until such a phone I desire has a notchless screen with it.

TouchID under the screen would be a nice addition too. But perhaps I shouldn't get too greedy. ;)

I think next year's models will carry similar or identical price tags to the 2019 phones. Possible increase but certainly not $500/£500 extra. Not a chance. I believe they already know they are pushing the limits of what the market will pay.

Exactly, the notch shouldn't even exist in the first place and really a bad design for the smartphone.

The current notch, while a bit unsightly, for me, has solved the issue of ominous Red or Green bar that Apple used to let me know I was in a call or some other background process. I hated that thing because it obstructed other processes. At least tucking these notifications into a notch is much better. Not saying the notch is the way to fix it. I just hope Apple never returns to the old way ever again.
interesting - on the other hand - the notch is obscuring information that I used regularly in my job like the VPN, Do Not Disturb, Bluetooh indicators, etc.

Speaking of VPN, when is Apple going to add a quick toggle to Control Centre? This has been bugging me for years!

So true

Just because they have a prototype doesn't mean it's going to be completed and manufactured in 11 months :p
Also doesn't mean it won't. We don't know how long the prototype has been out there either. Could have been there for a year already.

Really? Where LTE/WiFi shows up mine transitions and says VPN and then goes back to the LTE/WiFi
